On the way
So apparently the blessing was a 'complete & ready to head downriver'.

Re: Project 21631: Buyan-M missile ship
There's been a bunch more reports recently about Stavropol getting Pantsir-M, supposedly the first Buyan-M to get it.
I think its a mis-interpretation though, it makes no sense to just give it to the last of 12.
There were quotes talking about improved radar/AA when they announced the order for the last 3 and I think its more likely that Pantsir-M upgrade is for all of those 3.

I think BSF unless they do some kind of shuffle sending more off to Baltic.
(side point I recently figured out why translations often talk about ships 'going to the World Cup': Russian initials for Black Sea are the same as for World Cup, seen this with both Yandex & Google)

Re: Project 21631: Buyan-M missile ship
Is there any news on the latest Buyan-M and Bykov reaching the Black sea?
It's been almost 3 weeks since they left the shipyard in Zelenodolsk.
Edit:
I just check out a possible route through the canals from Zelenodolsk down the Volga river to Volgograd, entering the the canals to the Don river and to the Azov sea, its not a short journey by any means. There are at least 20 locks to get through to get from Volgograd to the Sea of Azov. Definitely seams like a 3 week trip.

Interesting, Grad Sviyazhsk heading back up the Don
Back to the Caspian probably or could it be an inland transition to Baltic?

testing of viability of new solution and if there is a need to add in reltively short time to all series?

If its anything like the changes made to 22800 then it pretty much needs to be done during build, certainly a large rebuild if they retrofit.testing of viability of new solution and if there is a need to add in reltively short time to all series?

well 22800 form 3rd ship get Pantsir. Byuan series is actually ending now. That would be nonsense to add Pantsir to Buyan if this is not going to series.

Re: Project 21631: Buyan-M missile ship
Well thats the thing.
When they laid down the last 3 it was said they'll have upgraded radar & I think AA. (presumably Pantsir-M)
Now they're apparently saying only the last of them is getting Pantsir-M which would be illogical.

cost cutting? but in strange place indeed. Byuans were originally designed for Caspian Sea where RuAF have air superiority thus AAD has secondary meaning. In Black and especially Mediterranean this is not necessarily the case. With Panstsir not drone / fighter below 20km can feel safe.

Maybe the yard is building Karakurts next and the last Buyan-M is a stepping Stone. The others will propably be upgraded later in their life.

Not just Grad Sviyazhsk went upstream but Veliky Ustyug as well, both now returned to Astrakhan.

I don't see a cable, plus, I don't think that they are going in one line.
It's just because of the angle, that is what it looks like to me.

According to PPL at Balancer not the engines but a gearbox/es that didn't get oiled

Seriously?
Busted engine seems like best case scenario in comparison...
