I've been a fan of Soviet/Russian military hardware for a while now, so an English-language forum dedicated to just that seemed like a good place to join!

Re: I have arrived...
Are you getting the PDF version? This month I did a feature on the RVV-BD. Next month is Red October, with a whole host of Russian-centric content.

Subscription info is here; you're basically subscribing to a mailing list where I send you the download links each month, it's a compeltely free service (I get asked how much it "costs" quite a bit!):
http://geimint.blogspot.com/2011/07/i-subscribing-contents-so-far.html
The download links are sent out once per month, usually around the 15th. A KMZ file accompanies each issue. Back issues: no problem. I archive everything up to a year behind, and when you get the download link you also get the download links for the previous issues as well. So a new subscriber will be able to view everything published over the last 12 months (which right now is everything, since it just started in February of this year). At the end of each year I'll collate everything into one massive indexed PDF file and distribute it to the public via the website.
Topics on deck for "Red October" are as follows:
-Russia's Air Defense Network (to include AEW aircraft, interceptors, radars, SAMs, etc.)
-Russias Strategic Nuclear Forces (I did the RVSN a while ago on the website, this will be expanded and updated to include the RS-24, bombers, and SSBNs)
-Facility Analysis of Sary Shagan
-Facility Analysis of Zhukovskiy
-Russian Space Surveillance Facilities
-A historical look at former RVSN ICBM sites
-A brief update on the status of relevant programs, including the S-400, S-500, S-1000, PAK-FA, and various other things
-A Reading List featuring selected books on Russian hardware from my library that I find useful or amusing (Podvig's book is one that will be in there)
-Anything else I can actually finish and include around the middle of October
It seems like a lot, and it will not be a small PDF (probably looking at something on the order of 100-150 pages), but in reality a lot of these will be updated and reorganzied versions of things I've previously done on the website, so the workload isn't quite as massive as it sounds at first glance.
The general idea is to run something similar every October, updating the relevant pieces and including different facility analysis articles and other relevant Russian-oriented content.

Re: I have arrived...
Well, that took long enough. I finally managed to complete the PDF and KML files for "Red October", with, what, three days to spare? I decided to underestimate the time I'd need to generate the graphics and imagery annotations this month, oops. It's 80 pages (I went a little bit less psychotic than I thought I might), and the content has been altered just a little bit. Subscribers will get download links either tomorrow or Saturday, depending on which half of the list you happen to be on (stupid Gmail limits ).
