Hello to all

I'm an old fart from Italy. My English level is poor, so please, be patient.
Long time lurking, I finally decided to join in order to share opinions about Russia, possibly not only in military topics.
Russia is a difficult topic here in Italy. Almost no one has positive words about it, especially in my political faction, the centre-left.
So, being definitively a russophile for an uncertain reason, I suffer a little solitude here.

I thought Italians had a pragmatic attitude towards Russia....I guess we both have our share of mob and corruption in government

I've had the fortune to be in Italy several years ago, I really liked it actually. Mostly the north, so hopefully will see the rest of the country some day soon.

 

Actually I think of Italy as being the Russia of western europe... most of the British people I know think of Italy as the country that kept changing sides in WWII... which I find amusing as many european countries changed sides during WWII... a powerful invading army or idiot leader will do that to you every time.

Anyway... welcome, and I look forward to hearing your views on things.
