These two are not my favourite units, but I will make a try.

Re: A little bit of artworks
Sorry to abuse the purpose of this thread, but in the 1980s I remember going into a local library and finding a science fiction book... it was a scifi art book with aliens and future worlds... I have never been able to find it since and it bothers me.
Can anyone recommend a book like that, or might recognise the book from their searches of libraries or websites?

Do you remember anything from the Titel, Author or nationality of the author? Might help searching.

Re: A little bit of artworks
Nah... I just remember it had sections that included alien vistas, and future cities and alien creatures and other similar sections... it is really annoying me now.
It was a rather large book with very thought provoking images...

Armed hovercraft drone
https://i.servimg.com/u/f21/19/35/56/92/20151111.jpg
I "designed" an attack hovercraft drone which might be used by the russian navy.
It's a small boat armed whith 6 missiles. Its high speed and small size should allow a terrible attack againt any ship. It would be carried by destroyers by pairs or more.
They would attack before the mothership in order to do some damages to the enemy before the attack with sunburns, kalibr and oniks.
The missile used should be small, light, fast and stealth with a warhead of about 80 Kg. It's not enough to sunk the ships but it's enough to disturb their defence and maybe do some damage to their radars.
The drone is autonomous and don't need informations from mothership, just at the beggining. It uses inertial guidance to get close to the target position, determined by other the mothershipp, satellites... and it activates its radar at the end to search the ship. The radar should be able to find a desroyer size at a distance of 60-70 km (I don't know if it's possible). The radar would be ike 15 m high.
The radar should be able to detect missile to use chaff too.
When the enemy naval group is find, it fires all of his missiles.
As the drone would be probably found 15-20 min later, if it succed his mission, it would be destroyed. This is why it should be cheap enough.
However, I'm just an amateur. I don't know if all the specifications could be respected like the range (300 km for a small hovercraft), the number of missiles carried, the speed of 100-120 km/h.
If the construction is possible, I think they should be used with the Udaloys because the range of the Moskits is around 120km so a preantive strick is not a bad idea.
It's my first post , I hope you like to discuss about ideas and not just about existant stuff.

Re: A little bit of artworks
I think stuff like this will start making an appearance sooner rather than later. Especially in the Russian arsenal - they're taking the operational introduction of robotic combat systems more seriously and urgently than anyone else.
