Those Jihadist have been using Drones ,Military level Satellite encrypted communications , Tow Rockets and also Stinger missiles reports too.. it have been using Sarin Gas and Mustard gas..and Syria have not lost a single shipment of its chemical weapons.. you cannot build any of those things in the middle of a warzone using kitchen or sand or screaming alah wakbar .. Some major power or major powers. ave to be supplying them not only with all those weapons..but with the Logistic too.. Now you see them using a special computer application that conveniently helps the mortar artillery precision. You cannot make that stuff . He acted as coordinator for ISIL in Kuwait and arranged arms deals and FN6 portable air defence systems from Ukraine, which were shipped to ISIL in Syria through Turkey."

Syrian Army Repels ISIL Attack on Strategic Airbase

The Syrian armed forces have thwarted the terrorists’ attempt to seize a military airfield in Syria’s northeastern Deir-az-Zor province, killing 25 attackers and wounding many others, Russian media reported Friday.

“The airfield’s defenders beat back the attack coming from eastern, northeastern and southeastern directions, killing 25 of them,” a military source told RIA Novosti news agency.

“A series of airstrikes by the Syrian air force helped the army to repel the enemy attack and then counterattack, seizing several villages outside the airbase,” the source said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Most of the Deir-az-Zor province remains under the terrorists’ control and the local airbase is the government forces’ main stronghold there.

The militants make regular attempts to storm the base using explosives-laden trucks and armor.

The latest such attack in September lasted for 15 hours, but the Syrian garrison, backed by aviation, has successfully been repelling all enemy attacks and driving out the ISIL fighters holed up in the nearby villages.

The people who they're "firing" at are their own, they've gone to the actual position but are stuck, and the "support squad" is trying to cover them with suppressive fire, almost hitting their own guys in the process. There was a twitter post on this, very funny, where pro-SAA were saying this was staged to make it look like fighting.

SAA didn't recapture it, they were inside Mahin fighting for it. The lost Huwwarin however.
They don't have enough capable fighting forces. Tiger forces, druze republican guard, iranians, Hezbollah, iraqis can't fight everywhere.

As a more positive note, rebel counterattack on Sheikh Miskin was repelled - 20 jihadists were killed.

Regarding his work organizing the militias, Hamedani said most of them are Sunnis. Iran had organized 42 brigades and 138 battalions, and 30,000 Sunni soldiers were trained in Iran, he said.

Hamedani is the highest ranking Iranian officer killed in Syria. This is from a speech by him in March this year.

So Iran is not organizing mostly Shiite militias but helping to maintain Syria as a religiously mixed country
