Have to assume that they will just bypass Raqqa, maybe as far to the south of it as possible on the way to Deir, which has to be their priority.
Anyone else note the implications of Calm's post above on the ISIS final destruction of Raqqa's bridges. Makes it both difficult for them to get out, so its a stand to the death, and when that's over it makes it difficult for the SDF to cross the Euphrates in force if they wanted to.
Also saw a Tweet that said that Russia has been bringing in military bridging equipment. True or not I don't know. It would be very difficult for the US to move bridging in but then their strategy seems to be to use the river as a physical boundary.
