The Russian Armed Forces have ten kilometers left before the complete encirclement of Artemovsk, 02.01.2023
Marochko: the Russian army has ten kilometers left before the complete encirclement of Artemovsk.
MOSCOW, February 1 - RIA Novosti. Russian troops have to go a few kilometers to close the ring around Artemovsk, said a military expert, retired LPR Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Marochko on Channel One.
“Our forces took this settlement (Artemovsk. — Ed. note) <...> “in a horseshoe.” To close this horseshoe, they need to go about another ten kilometers,” the officer said.
According to him, the planned withdrawal of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the city is out of the question.
“Even if they try to do this, it could turn into a disaster for them. Escape from this settlement is still possible <...> more or less sane people are now trying to escape from the settlement by some secret paths, because they are suffering enormous losses there ", - said Marochko.
Artemovsk is located in the Kiev -controlled part of the DPR, north of Gorlovka. In recent weeks, fierce fighting has been going on there. According to the founder of the Wagner group Yevgeny Prigozhin , the liberation of the city will stop the Ukrainian offensive in any direction.

It's a certificate which represents your pay for serving in AFU (2 million grivna) and can be cashed out after 2nd Feb. 2026 (i.e. never )ALAMO wrote:It provides monetary compensation ... for serving in the armed forces.
What made me interested is the expiry date in ... 2026.
The thing is unclear to me - can it be cashed any day until the given date, or cashed at given date?

"We're winning bigtime! Go there, it'll just be a breeze killing these Russian untermenschen hordes who run towards our muzzles blind, deaf and unarmed. It's super easy, barely an inconvenience. It'll be like a holiday, really. Just relax and then cash in 2 million. Big win!"
- "But if it's like that, why'd you forcibly grab both old uncle Lyosha and the Savchenko's teenage kid off the street the other day?"
"Have you ever cooked a casserole so good that you just NEEDED to invite some people to taste it? Or made your somewhat disinterested buddy listen to this AMAZING song you heard? It's like that, we're just overwhelmed with how great things are and really want others to see it. Even if they're somewhat reluctant at first, we are absolutely confident they'll see the light too."

Jokes aside, the western propaganda really feeds people how they didn't have to carry mobilisation yet. Not like those Mordor orcs, WHO are only saying 300k, while mobilized every one having two legs!

Western propaganda pivots on the apathetic nature of the mass media consumers who have a two day attention span. They will not
remember all the lies spouted in their ears and eyes by their fake stream media. Propaganda does not work on people who are
intellectually engaged. Even if they can fool you initially, eventually their contradictions and lies expose them. But we see how the
vast majority of proles are not intellectually engaged. Humans never evolved intellectual engaged skills just basic response.

UA: *Immediately* bans exit for every male between 16 and 60, immediately starts recruiting prisoners (including notorious war criminals such as "Tornado"), places conscription officers at entries/exits to all major cities, eventually starts handing out conscription notices AT GUNPOINT to literally anyone they find, now even including those previously exempt due to family commitments, disabilities etc. Wrestling down and dragging away those who resist.
"No mobilization, it's all fine and dandy"
RU: Standard small-scale mobilization *half a year in* of people who are in the pool, ie people with prior legit military experience. Paper notice, no physical coercion. Some people leave the country (1) but nobody tries to stop them. Some return later and face no issues. Some mistakes are made (some people not suitable are called up) because the law they went by is 20+ year old and some registries hadn't been adequately updated, but these mistakes are immediately acknowledged even by the top brass and subsequently rectified.
"Literal Volksturm-esque Nazi last stand"
(1) So far, far less than the U.S. "dodgers" during Nam, it should be pointed out. And as far as I can tell, most of those who left Russia when the mobilization was announced weren't even in the pool. They just acted out of hysteria, I guess.
I have acquaintances there who are in ripe military age but didn't do shit because they hadn't served, so they just stayed put, and nobody's bothered them to date. I have some acquaintaces who did serve, and none of them have been called up either. Small sample, granted, but yeah.

Germany (Angela Merkel) knew very well that 6.5 million Ukrainians living in eastern Ukraine would be adversely affected if war breaks out with Russia.
Still she decided to sign the Minsk agreement to buy more time in order to supply weapons to Kiev.

And they'te GNSS guided, so while accurate they're for stationary targets only. The allied forces learned how to mitigate this in the field (Ukraine did too, to be fair, Russia's PGMed them at long ranges for a year, and they have learned to avoid the worst side of that).
But, in other words, the significance of these weapons is only their range. Ie Ukraine can terrorize civvies at longer distances, now that Russia's pushed them back far enough to render their extant weaponry less effective at that.
I find it amazing, really. Russia's reason for everything, the "SMO" etc was to stop Ukrainian attacks on the Donbass and to neutralize a burgeoning existential threat. Russia wanted to do this diplomatically for a nearly a decade, to no avail.
Western actions are so incredibly contradictory to the stated goals ("protect Ukraine, blablabla, peace blablabla"), but absolutely in line with what Russia's said from day one. Each piece of news, each new delivery of weapons only reinforces Russia's side of the story. And it is so blatantly obvious too.
When Ukraine runs out of forcibly recruited manpower, there's gonna be others shipped in to man these things (they already are to an ever increasing extent, I guess).
It is, as I often say these days, rather infuriating.

And you know what is - objectively - the conclusion?
That considering the perspective, Russkie have no other choice than physically liquidate the Ukrainian statehood as it is.
No buffer zone, and no curved state.
A single hectare left under the Ukro nominal jurisdiction will be a start platform for weapons freshly delivered or smuggled.
Those will be unleashed as soon as the last wheel will leave the NATO neighbor country by a centimeter.
The hard to believe part is, that for EIGHT years Russkie were determined to not only retain the Ukrainian statehood but to return the LDNR territories and population under the Kievan jurisdiction.
But this teaches a good lesson to all the others, how it ends to be a NATO proxy. So it might be a good lesson. People ain't stupid. They doo watch & learn.
It's a certificate which represents your pay for serving in AFU (2 million grivna) and can be cashed out after 2nd Feb. 2026 (i.e. never Wink )
Oh, thanks a lot! I was unsure this "pisli" in Ukrainian, and somehow couldn't connect the dots that it is Russian "posle" - after.
Silly me!
