Else I`ve watched some small videoes of their training with green berets in Fort Carson on facebook...

Yeah I saw the pictures too. They've been training together since the 14th of May though, and only just finished on the 31st. you'd think there would be a little more to see then that. Oh well, Hopefully there will be some more in depth footage released soon.

If not there's always the U.S special operators going to Russia to look forward to.

Spetsnaz of VDV is in Fort Carson. They trained with green berets in Colorado, USA.

I would say only the Recon detachments and maybe certain assault type teams...maybe Vladimir knows for sure.

In the video it says they use the masks to conceal their identities. Another interesting comment is that they would jump out civilian airliners if need be for clandestine operations with the new 'Arbalet' parachutes.

From memory, I think it was originally introduced for the rapid reaction units of the CSTO back in 2010. It might now be in more widespread use

Fast deployment exercise of the 98th (Ivanovo) VDV Div. 7000 men, several hundred vehicles and 40 aircraft/helicopters took part.

Sounds like the whole division was airlifted from Ivanovo to Chelyabinsk, from where they marched to the local firing range.

March 24, 2013. TV Zvezda. Russia, Krasnodar region, firing ground Raevskij. Tactical exercises 7th Guards Airborne Division.
