A contract for the purchase of Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles for the Polish army was signed

On February 28, 2023, on the territory of the Polish machine-building enterprise Huta Stalowa Wola SA (HSW) in the city of Stalowa Wola, in the presence of the Minister of National Defense of Poland, Mariusz Blaszczak, a framework contract was signed for the supply of almost 1,400 promising Polish-designed Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles and special armored vehicles to the Polish Army at their base. The contract was signed between the Arms Agency of the Ministry of National Defense of Poland and a consortium of the Polish state defense industrial association Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa SA (PGZ) and its member HSW (as the lead developer and manufacturer under the Borsuk program). The agreement defines the conditions for concluding specific executive agreements for the supply of the new generation Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles to the Polish army.

Those HIMARS Ukraine received, they were ripped off from Poland, as Poland purchased them a while ago, but the U.S. failed to deliver them to Poland after Polish government fully paid for them, but in 2022 the U.S.A. gave them for free to Ukraine.

Poland is even being forced to pay for the U.S. troops stationed on its soil.

And those modern fighter jets from the U.S.A., Poland also fully paid for them years ago, but thus far it did not receive any, and the U.S. government has kept the money.

Do not listen to those Internet cretins claiming that Poland is about to become "a major military power."

Binkov and the others really lost credibility with such claims.

America is a law unto itself... we decided we didn't want our skyhawks but because we upgraded them the US said we couldn't sell them to anyone they didn't approve so instead of spending 100 million a year flying around a dozen or so skyhawks we spend 20 million keeping them in secure storage...

They wanted us to buy F-16s to keep the gravy train going.

You don't buy American weapons... you lease them, and all the strings attached are woven together to go round your neck like a noose if you don't behave...

It does not matter if you are Iran and Venezuela or Turkey or Poland...

Poland received the first HIMARS missile systems

On May 15, 2023, at the 1st Transport Air Base of the Polish Air Force at the Warsaw International Airport, a ceremony was held for the Polish Army to receive the first five delivered combat vehicles of the American M142 HIMARS missile complex manufactured by the Lockheed Martin Corporation. These first five M142 combat vehicles were delivered earlier on the same day to the Warsaw airport from the USA by the An-124-100 "Ruslan" transport aircraft of the Ukrainian airline "Antonova Airlines". The reception ceremony was attended by Polish Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak and US Deputy Secretary of State Richard R. Verma.

With such an amount of equipment and the entire logistical chain, training and deployment involved, when do they plan to use it?
    In 15+ years?

The US annual production last year was around 30 tanks.
How do they plan to fulfill that order?

Look like a petro-dollar state. Buy a lot but can man them. However Poland doesn't have any petrol. Will be funny to see how they will pay for all that. Probably sell thrir lands like ukro in 2014.

Don't tell Damian the polish hardcore fan of M1 Abrams tanks and self-proclaimed tank expert.

I really have no sympathy to Poland or what is about to happen to their demographics regardless of relations to that place. With a country and it's leader who is the grandson of a SS-Colaborateur that place must be converted to something that can be called sovereign. Right now it is a front-line slave of the West and must be treated like one.

Russia does not see Poles as kin so I doubt they have any interest at all in taking land from Poland.

The only military interaction that might take place would be if Russia saw Poland as a threat and the solution there is not invade and occupy... it is destroy in a preemptive self defence attack... and being part of HATO that would mean with nukes.

10 years ago, Poland hasn't existed in the Russian narrative and generally acknowledge.
Russkie gave a damn about it.
You could hardly spot any mention of Poland in Russian media, even if - it was made in a neutral narrative. As something unusual happening.
The only difference was in the Kaliningrad enclave, where there was regular human traffic, and after the easing of visa procedures people were flooding both directions for a daily routine. And were getting closer.
Now, it is considered the worse Russian enemy in Europe.
The end effect of this whole farce is spoiling the relations with the most powerful neighbor, having nothing to match this problem.
In the meantime, they are working hard to do the same damage to the relations with Germany, the second most powerful neighbor.
And a country that was actually quite friendly to Poland in the 00s. Angela Merkel has Polish roots, she was the best asset Poland had for almost two decades.
Endeffect of this madness is a fact, that Germany seems to be second party, AfD, leader Alice Weider referred the East Germany as "Central Germany" last week. This kind of talk was unimaginable only 5 years ago.

The Polish policy for the last decade has nothing to do with Poland and Polish national interest. It is actually anti-Polish, but as you can witness, this is nothing uncommon in the whole of Europe. It will end up in a tragedy, after which the Polish mob will cry it's usual "and us for what?!?".
So the most important thing is to have tickets from Budapest to Shenzen. One way.

The time after Putin will be very hard time for Europeans, because there is a lot of wish and harsh measures towards our enemies.
Poland was and has been our enemy due to it's inferiority complex and denial of carrying enough guilt from contribution to death and misery with collaboraiton with westerners against us. They try to pretend they had no, absolutely zero connections to Hitler and Nazi Germany but Duda and history is very much known.

It is very easy to make enemies... it is much more productive and useful in life to make as many friends as you can.

Of course some people are not interested in friendship and will only be friendly to people they want something from... right now Poland is showing its colours, as is the rest of Europe and Russia is paying attention.

It wasn't our fault... they made us do this... can't we still be friends... we will be nice this time...

Well ties are being broken and at the western end and Russia is doing all it can to replace those ties with its own alternatives or alternatives from the rest of the world so when the west gives up its stupid and petty sanctions it will find Russia has mostly moved on and is no longer interested in their products or services and there will not be any going back to cheap gas and cheap everything else...

They try to pretend they had no, absolutely zero connections to Hitler and Nazi Germany but Duda and history is very much known.

Every country whitewashed its history and heritage while blaming "the others" for every misery around.
The point is to keep that in mind.
There are no saints out there, especially in our centuries-long relations, when there was a time when the power tides waved differently, you know.
I do admit that most of the negative relations toward Russia are a minority syndrome.
Out of all Slav countries, only Russia and Poland raised to their imperial status.
At the peak of its might, Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth spread across a million square km, spreading along Dnestr and surpassing Dnepr.
Russia retained it, while Poland lost it severely.
What's more, Poland never achieved leverage from its superpower position, that is undisputed landmass secured, with natural resources etc.
While it was extremely wealthy, all that wealth was spent in endless wars of the XVI/XVII century.
Do you know what is interesting from the perspective?
It was Sweden that broke the neck of Polish imperial sentiments. The Swedish Flood was an apocalypse of biblical size. It destroyed the whole economy, killed and spread the population, and robbed every single piece they could find. Warsaw and the Kings Castle was pillaged EIGHT times, at the end they were ripping out the marble plates.
Sweden was so thirsty and poor, that they robbed stone decorations from buildings.
Monuments, pillars, and columns from the private magnate's palaces. A fukin STAIRS were dismantled and stolen.
Archeologists to this very day are finding sunk Swedish riverboats along the Vistula, only to figure out that there was not a single thing they would not rob Shocked
What was left after, was a country where cannibalism was nothing unusual.
With all the wealth robbed, almost 200 cities, another 200 villages and 100 palaces burned to the grounds along with the entire assisting economy, land farms, mills, cattle ... And I do not mean the ones that were raided and pillaged, but physically destroyed, never to recover.
Human loses reached FOUR MILION people, which constituted 40% (FORTY) of the entire population.
To this very date, Sweden holds thousands of robbed artifacts, monuments, art pieces - and they don't even cover that Twisted Evil
And - surprise surprise - there is not a single claim raised in Poland toward Sweden, it is different and you should understand that, barbaric Russkie!

They are not really orders, much more like wishes.

Those South Korean tanks, they were purchased by Poland on credit.

In other words, Poland has literally no money to buy them, but it purchases these tanks on a promise to pay for them at some point in the future.

It is not surprising that the South Koreans dispatch these tanks to Poland in such a small quantity (the first shipment was 10 tanks), apparently even they are not sure of Poland's ability to pay for these tanks.

Perhaps they also gained some favorable arrangements for their economic assets in Poland besides obtaining the promise to pay, but that is my own speculation, and I do not know for certain if that is the case.
