Who here's playing it except me? It's like WOT + World of Warplanes + World of Warships at the same time but semi-realistic rather than arcade. Recently helos were added.

This game is a world in itself, it deserved a thread separate from other video games.

The thing I didn't like about WOT was that they made stuff up for game play purposes...

Personally I think they should have used scale instead of changing the performance...

WOT also ignores the enormous contribution ground troops makes to tank warfare...

Play War Thunder then. Razz It does not have many of WOT's unrealistic features - no aiming reticles, no hitpoints, generally realistic armor and ammo performance (bar overperforming APHE and underperforming APCR). You can play 3 modes depending on level of realism you like etc etc. Certain balancing issues do exist but no making stuff up as in WOT.

Why is armor on M1A1 so weak? Protection analysis shows that DM33 and 3BM42 both go through M1A1s turret like hot knife through butter, even in an area where its the thickest.

M829 on the other hand struggles with T-80U, Leo 2A5 and Chally 2

Maybe they are using more accurate estimates than what some decadent propagandist claims it has?

There are claims that the T-72Bs turret front is oly 450mm RHAE  (only the mantlet erea is that) and then foolishly apply this value to the entire turret front.
It would really not be surprising if these same morons claims of the abrams armor protection were multiplied by 150-200%.

Also the T-80U in WT as of now an armor value of 850mm RHAE on the turret cheeks not including ERA which is interesting and judging by the thickness of the armor in that area quite plausable.

Balance suffers for that reason. Abrams can be lolpenned by any vii era tank without it being able to do the same unless the opponent is another Abrams. It should at least have a lower repair cost and a DU pack as a researchable module.

Btw Abrams is rated at 400mm vs DM33/JM33, M829, 3BM42 and other rank 7 shells. Was it truly so weak?

Well I really don't see why the scum expecting "dug bestt tonk in da worlld" getting a touch of realism to spoil thier little decadent dreams is a bad thing.

Also the uranium was oly added in the m1a1ha and even then I doubt it would double the effectiveness of the armor.

Because it is supposed to be the original M1A1 , more or less an M1IP with the 120 mm L44. The turret doest not get significantly uparmored until the M1A1 HA (heavy armor) that featured depleted uranium (DU) inserts as part of the first generation heavy armor package (HAP) in its turret cheeks.

    Meee !!

T-54 lvl. Going slowly because I'm not premium member.

Play tank arcade battles mostly because in simulation it's really hard to see tanks. And I hate camping and waiting.

Arcade battles are dynamic and the tanks are faster and maps are smaller.

These days I play t-34 because I need to win some money for future t-62 tank. Reparation is not costly while t-54 s and bmp-1 are very costly and for 99% of games I don't win enough to repare the tanks.

Wonderfull game. I saw WoT on youtube and looks very bad compare to WT.

    I play on Ps4.
