These are the same feeble people that stand on ww2 rememberance ceremony's going on and on about "curbing" said russian agression.
talk about complete lack of self-awareness about WW2 and what actually happened then.
It never ceases to amaze me either how EU Politicians always manage to put complete retards in power that cant wait to destroy the core readiness of an millitary some more.
its not like it is in a bad enough state already:
During NATO exercises to poland for example NATO can not faccilitate it's own logistics of heavy hardware.
Because...budget cuts for years and years took an heavy toll.
All own millitary cargo hauling and flatbeds trucks are pretty much non-excistent now.
And vehicles can not drive themselves for long-hauls for long-range redeployment.
I mean,...NATO used to be able to do that...when they still had spare parts lying around in warehouses.
But waging foreign wars has an serious pricetag and they got used up of the small part that was left.
I mean,...where did all the heavy gear and spare parts go?.
Budget cuts and sold off to countries that are NATO-friendly nations...with questionable human-right standards.
Whatever goes broke now in the millitary you better hope that civilian company that build it has a few mechanics at hand.
It started as early as 2008, i got trained in an new wheeled APC. During an maintenance lession we asked how the hell where we going to reach the engine's starter if it got stuck?.
Because of mud and dirt it can get stuck on the engine, and will not allow you to fire up the engine.
The answer was "call the company mechanic". We laughed at the instructor. Then we saw he was serious.
Then laughter start turn to anger: "who the **** approved of this!?!".
Guess who was stuck 6 months later in Afghanistan in an forward base with an stuck starter engine one morning?.
Right,...this idiot writing this glorious NATO procurement experience right here
.
you know how we had to fix it?, since the design made you unable to reach any critical component?.
We hand to put it against an heavy cargo container truck. and had to drive around the RON as fast we could to dislodge the starter from the engine.
Then the on-board computer went haywire because of course, the stupid thing can't deal with its engine igniting without an primed computer system.
And you cant prime the fucking computer without going trough the proper startup procedure...as you can not over-ride or go pass the starting-engine check.
Normally you would say...."ignore the computer".
But it does control tire pressure, ...and of course....without an computer controlling the air valve's...it deflated the tire slowly.
Tought break, you have to shutdown the vehicle and go trough the original start-up procedure to get the computer working.
Better hope your starting-engine still works....
And welcome to Western Millitary industry corruption that goes hand in hand with western politicians.....
NATO also does not understand how munition consumption works in direct combat.
They have plenty of time to learn tough, as the actual NATO troops in Afghanistan for ten years had plenty of experience.
First time my nation's infantry went to Afghanistan, then 4 magazines are enough right?.
WRONG!!!. it was quickly learned that the Magazine question became: "how many pouche's can you fit on your vest?".
Followed with "how much spare ammo can you carry on your backpack and storeroom of your vehicle?".
Because if you ended up in an particular target-rich, heavy ambush. You and your platoon burn trough munitions...and fast.
Everything came back empty to base. troops?, down to last mag or two. Vehicle guns almost dry.
When an entire platoon needs to rearm including the vehicles, munitions go out the door fast.
Yet,...Leadership and politicians never learned....in all of those ten years.
So during exercises they do not even simulate this massive logistical supply chain they would need in an actual NATO-Russia War.
They cant even get their hardware in positions. while they declare this entire circus-show "a show of force".
These EU Politicians live in an completely different reality, and whatever happens next. Europe absolutely deserves the consequences.
I guess it will take Russia in case of conflict 36 hours at most to defeat NATO.
