Re: Serbian Armed Forces
For sale Russian attack helicopters – Serbia is interested to buy the 11-Mi-35P.
The sale of the 11 Russian attack helicopter Mi-35P, as well as other related equipment, negotiate the Ministry of Defence with the corresponding Ministry of Defence of Serbia.
The Council of Ministers, after being informed on a confidential proposal that was tabled before with the subject "Withdrawal of military equipment" lit recently the green light for the negotiations. The aim of the Ministry of Defence is the sale of the 11 Russian combat helicopters Mi-35, with the simultaneous purchase of a new, modern combat helicopters. The plan that was drawn up, provides for the purchase of 12 total attack helicopter in two phases (six plus six helicopters) over a decade.

Just what Serbia needs a decent attack heli, and with the added crew/cabin space it's such a versatile Heli add to this the Mi-17 it's really the only two Heli u need if your on a tight budget like Serbia. The gazelles are getting old and I always thought the Ansat 2RC would have been a great substitute for the gazelles, and Serbia could still fit it's new 2T5 homegrown version of saggar a command guided & 5km version they currently put on the gazelles.

BOV-1 armed with 5x 2T5 sagger and 1x tandem warhead sagger
M-80AB1 armed with 2x 2T5 sagger and 30mm gun.
The LRSVM M18 Oganj can be armed with multiple different types of unguided and guided rockets from 107mm, 122mm, 128mm, etc see pic for full details.
Miloš first pic armed with 7.62mm & 6 barrelled 40mm grenade launcher
Second pic armed with 7.62mm & 2x M80 Zolja anti tank rockets
M56A1 upgraded gun, making it more reliable and robust as well as increased range of 18km
Second pic is the gun on self propelled vehicle named SOKO.
PASARS-16 armed with the initial 40mm bofors gun which now has programmable ammunition consisting of 1100 Tungsten pellets is developed to be used with 40mm gun giving to system Airburst round firing capability. Along with either RLN-IC/170 missiles a homegrown version of the Soviet R-13M, or Igla MANPAD, Serbia is in the process of making a version using Mistral missiles
First pic armed with RLN-IC/170 missiles
Second pic armed with Igla MANPADs.
Third pic of it firing a RLN-IC/170 missile
Video of it firing at a 120mm mortar illum round
SPAT 30/2 Self-propelled anti-aircraft gun with a new turret model called Foka with two Zastava 30 mm cannons mounted on a BVP - M80 armoured vehicle.
Also worth a mention is Serbia's upgrade of the 2S1, which allows the vehicle to deploy into firing mode in 20 seconds, an increase of 38% in range with the use of two new types of artillery projectiles, rate of fire increased to 6-8 rounds per minute, and with the new ballistic computers allows the 2S1 to use MRSI technique which multiple round simultaneous impact (MRSI), where a single weapon fires multiple rounds at differing trajectories so that all rounds arrive on target at the same time. Also a 12.7mm machine gun had been added with a small armoured shield for the gunner, this is seen in the picture pointed rear wards protected the vehicle.

Re: Serbian Armed Forces
I was always shocked seeing the things such a small country as Serbia can do if they need them.
Very creative and cost effective.
Outstanding.

Re: Serbian Armed Forces
Serbian Military Police received 5 Bearcat light armoured vehicles for evaluation, if they pass they will be introduced
Seems like old BOV junkers and assorted SUVs in Military Police will be replaced by Bearcats and UAZ Patriots, nice to see something finally changing since the middle of the Cold War

Re: Serbian Armed Forces
Serbia will triple the number of special forces soldiers of the army
Serbia will increase the special forces of the army from 1.6 thousand to 5 thousand fighters. This was stated by President Aleksandar Vucic at a press conference following the results of the year.
“The main task of the entire 2023 will be to increase the 1.6 thousand fighters of the special units of the Serbian army to 5 thousand. The salaries will be huge, and I invite all young guys, because the basic salaries will be over 2 thousand euros, plus additional payments for duty, night shifts, ”RIA Novosti quotes the President of Serbia.
The Serbian leader said that missiles and launchers were received from "a European country" under the contract, but did not specify which ones and from where.
Earlier, Aleksandar Vučić named the countries that withdrew the recognition of Kosovo's independence . According to the Serbian leader, 106 countries do not recognize Kosovo's independence, and only 84 unambiguously recognize it.
Prior to this, the President of Serbia stated that Serbia managed to avoid a full-scale conflict in Kosovo . According to Vucic, the escalation could lead to a "catastrophe" with the North Atlantic alliance. ■

Re: Serbian Armed Forces
Some quick updates from Granit-2023 military presentation (usual morons online complained how there was ''too much'' equipment there, last year they complained how it was ''too little'', daddy George is really determined to get his money's worth out of them...)
Lazar-3 and Milos MRAPs are being built in bulk so that's nice, finally:
These two entered serial production (M-20 and BOV OT M-21), I am not too keen on second one but if it's cheap than what the hell, still way better than tarp covered trucks:

Re: Serbian Armed Forces
PASARS-16 (SHORAD)
Bofors AA gun, French missiles, Serbian missiles plus radar targeting to be added in next version
They are really going hard and heavy on that one, probably with all drones out there lately, apparently someone abroad is also buying it
Looks derpy if you ask me but I guess it's not a beauty contest (no idea what vehicle that is)

Re: Serbian Armed Forces
The back end looks like Strela-10Ms, but the nose fins are too big and Strela-10M is IR guided and that obviously has a radar antenna in its nose.
The containers for carrying the missiles look like Strel-10M missile boxes, as used on the MTLB chassis (SA-13).

Re: Serbian Armed Forces
Serbia Purchases Essential Air Defense Equipment from Hungary
Serbia has purchased air defense system elements from Hungary. The 2K12 KUB was developed in the Soviet Union in the 1960s, but was modernized jointly by the Hungarian and Polish defense industries in the 2000s. A similar deal between Hungary and Serbia has been concluded in recent months, reports Magyar Nemzet, based on the Serbian website Srbija Danas.
Serbia is buying components for its 2K12 KUB air defense system from Hungary. According to the newspaper, it is about the RStON 1S91M target detection and tracking radar stations, which suffered the most from the mass strikes of AGM-88 HARM high-speed anti-radar missiles during the NATO air campaign against Yugoslavia in 1999. Their procurement is necessary to activate the missile systems of the existing 2K12 KUB missile classes of the Serbian Air Force and Air Defense. The Serbian Armed Forces maintain three KUB-M classes in the framework of the 250th Air Defense Missile Brigade, deployed in Novi Sad (Újvidék), Kragujevac, and Niš.
The army is planning to set up a new sub-unit in Kraljevo, also requiring the purchase of second-hand radio-electronic vehicles.
A similar deal between Hungary and Serbia has already been concluded in recent months, when Serbia purchased 26 BTR-80A armored infantry fighting vehicles from Hungary.
