Hi, I finally got around to introducing myself after first posting a bit ago,
other life concerns were distracting me for a while, and with the events in Ukraine,
I was busy engaging not so obviously Russophilic writers/forums, introducing some reality to MSM narrative.
I'm American (living in Hawaii) and don't have any family tie to Russia, nor do I speak the language
(I know Spanish, if anybody needs a ROUGH translation of a Spanish source relevant to the boards here)
but perhaps somehow thru just an interest in history and the trajectory of 'multi polar world'
I came to have more of an interest in Russia or the "Russian world". (Armenia fitting in there too)
I'm against nationalisms and racism, but sometimes things like secessionism ends up being necessary
because nobody can reasonably accept having their basic rights and interests violated.
South America and Spain and other parts of the EU/Europe feel more in my direct future travel plans,
but I still have some romantic interest in travelling across the entire Eurasian continent, i.e. Russia.
I can't quite recall how I came across this board, though I believe it was indirectly from
some of the members here also posting on Igor's Defunct Blog, Key Publishing, perhaps elsewhere?
