Getting into the VDV would be a lot of hard work... but they are currently expanding the size of the VDV so they will be looking...

the competition will be fierce... the VDV is an elite unit... they can pretty much pick and choose who they want...

Train your body, but also your mind... you speak English, if you speak Spanish and Russian then you could be valuable in all sorts of areas.
You will need to prove your loyalty and explain why you want to join the Russian Army.
You will also need to prove yourself to your fellow soldiers who will likely look upon you with distrust.
Imagine what a Russian national would go through in the US Marines... most will think he is a spy...

There wont be any in a VDV unit.
Army life is not easy, the problem is that some people are victims and bring the wrong sort of attention to themselves. Bullies love victims. You don't have to be a bully, but don't be a victim.
Don't complain all the time, and don't dodge duties. Be someone the other soldiers respect and you will be more likely to have their support if you come across a thug.
