Re: Lurker converted
Thanks Garry, let me say that after a year of lurking here I became a fan of you and Victor.
True, Ive read some posts that I think were posted by fellow Egyptians here if I recall correctly "Ahmed" & "Enas Ali", but I don't see much of them lately anyway I'm glad to join the bunch
Btw does anyone know how to switch back from classical view? I can't seem to find it and the phone is killing my eyeeeeeeeeeeeeees :/

Re: Lurker converted
Mindstorm has excellent knowledge of Soviet and Russian equipment... he hasn't posted in a while.
In addition to Viktor, I would add Sujoy and Austin and George1 for their posts of interesting news items and now Mike for his posts on space rockets... I will stop naming names because I can't name everyone I think contributes to this forum... I would not include names of members who just come for an argument, but even members I don't always agree with contribute useful depth to this forum.
Welcome again...

There's lots of intelligent members on this forum, from off the top of my head:
GarryB: The human encyclopedia on modern and contemporary military history, I'm always pleasantly surprised with his wealth of knowledge, and I have personally given his post's anywhere from 20-30 +1's over the past 6 months.
Viktor: Your posts are always insightful and directly news related, usually consisting of positive news, and your also very knowledgeable of air defense tech and air force doctrine.
Mindstorm: Incredibly entertaining posts directly related to rebuking popular and commonly disseminated military myths vis-a-vis an empirical reductio ad absurdem method of argumentation.
Stealthflanker: has a large wealth of knowledge of submarines and submarine warfare.
sepheronx: a vast knowledge of computers, microchips, semiconducters, electronics manufacturing, and electrical engineering topics.
Mike E: a large wealth of knowledge on rockets, lifters, and general space related matters.
Werewolf: a controversial character (and yet entertaining), but retains a large wealth of knowledge on helicopters and rotary aircraft warfare doctrine.
Airbornewolf: retains many noteworthy stories within Afghanistan, and NATO related theaters of operation.
Austin: Keeps this forum up-to-date with current events, retains lots of knowledge on warfare.
George1: the human news-wire, always consistently contributing with current event news.
arkapola: a very informative member concerning the current events in Ukraine.
flammingpython: a very entertaining character with a great sense of humor.
SOC: hasn't posted much lately, but very informative on radar technology and air force combat, warfare, and doctrine.
macedonian: haven't posted much recently, but a very entertaining character.
Sujoy: an entertaining member, who has an uncanny ability to cut through distortions perpetuated through media circles.
higurashihougi: a positive contributor, always nice to read this members posts.
there's other great contributors, and I simply can't name them all!

Re: Lurker converted
Feels as if I was lurking somewhere else for the past year lol, obviously I wasn't doing a good job at it
also feels as if all the expert spots are already taken in all the fields oh well it's not as if I had the chance anyway, I'm definitely lacking the knowledge you guys posses, but hopefully I might get to contribute in politics if I get the opportunity or a subject comes along although it's no where near my expertise either but on worst case scenarios I won't get mocked at and be just accounted for another point of view lol
Anyway glad to meet you all "contributors" and "lurkers"
And thank you guys for welcoming me in, showing me the way around and who to keep an eye for when it comes to certain subjects

Very much agree... I can be very optimistic and often need someone like TR-1 to remind me the world doesn't always work the way it should. Often his realism is mistaken for negativism... of course sometimes it is not a mistake either and he can get too pessimistic as I can get too optimistic...
Would agree with Magnums list, especially Seph and SOC etc.

On the topic of "nice comments".....
I think that the most beneficial recent addition to the forum is kvs by a landslide. His posts are always well-thought-out and full of intelligence, along with his beneficial opinions. He also seems to know an abundance of intelligence regarding space and spacecraft, something I am very fond of myself...
