The RPG-7 was technically replaced in the mid 1980s by the RPG-16 which has a larger calibre 57mm tube and a rocket that is completely enclosed inside the tube.
It didn't have the growth potential of the RPG-7 which got 105mm calibre warheads to match the later 105mm calibre RPG-29.
The RPG-29 is not popular being large long and heavy and having a warhead the same calibre as the late model RPG-7s can fire.
The main problem for the RPG-7 is as the warheads get bigger and heavier the tiny 40mm calibre rocket motor is less and less effective so the trajectory gets steeper and the rocket less accurate and shorter ranged.
A new rocket launcher based on the RPG-32 would be a big step forward with a light "launcher/sighting" mechanism attached to a range of disposable rocket types up to and including larger calibre rockets like the 125mm calibre RPG-28.
