Poroshenko refused special status as specified in Minsk 2, so what's the fuss? I'm thinking it's because Poroshenko targeted Lyashko for political purging.

The moment the grenade was thrown
If you look carefully the guy on the bottom left is holding a fire extinguisher which then explodes as the grenade goes off.

Tyagnibok was there according to various reports, including this one with a photo said to be from today. It will be difficult for him to survive I think... http://inforesist.org/kak-tyagnibok-pomogal-bit-nacgvardejca-pod-radoj/
Anyway, now we know why Putin was weight training in Sochi, so he could throw grenade a long distance....

Already on Daily Mail online and pretty much full report, excellent pictures. This is defo worth checking out.Rodinazombie wrote:Khepesh wrote:I want to know what Obama thinks of this, for instance, are they "peaceful protestors" and will he give Poroshenko strong warnings about not using force. Would be good if this was maidan 3, but I think this is going to be repressed quickly. The maidunts with their helmets and sheilds are there, but not very many, not enough to be a serious threat.
I agree, though we can always hope.
Now, where are a bunch of guys with sniper rifles when you need them mr poroshenko?
Oh i think this story will appear in our (uk) media, but it will be watered down and without the hysterical angle they took during maidan. There may be a mention of a blast or police injured, but it will say that the exact cause is unknown, and most probably they will report that 'a senior ukie mp blamed russian securty services for the incident'

Same here: http://www.demorgen.be/buitenland/een-dode-en-tientallen-gewonden-tijdens-rellen-in-kiev-a2440424/
That's one of the most respected newspapers in Belgium. They are wrong about one thing though. The author writes about more autonomy for Donbass which is untrue. Further he writes about DNR and LNR's not trusting the current leaders in Kiev because they believe that their power is illegitimate (read: truth). Not a single word about Putin or the Russian army participating in Donbass.

Good, good. And the summer is not even over yet. Gentlemen, take a look at the perfect example of "patriots" displaying their hate and willingness to fight "the enemy" by being several hundred kms from actual combat zone.
The same people and government they brought to power have now become "traitors" and "enemies of UkrOp people".
Let them play with the rabble, they are running out of time. Most interesting thing to consider is the impact on front-line troops and their morale, and on those yet to serve in UkrOp forces.

Poroshenko's reign is coming to an end. Radicals and nazis will thrown him and than he will be guilty for all miseries and defeats in Ukraine and many of his people will be killed when the new cleansing in government offices will start. Nazis will restart the war, but not only in Donbass, but in a whole Ukraine. Actually Donbass will be the most peaceful region. I think this tragedy in Ukraine will not last long. In few years, around 2018 nazis will be defeated and this madness will end. Actually it is a destiny of Novorussian army to liberate the Ukraine.
I wonder, how will EU react, when nazis will thrown Poroshenko and restart the war. Will they impose sanctions on Ukraine?

This is still not sign of actual trouble. These are radical lunatics, average people have little simpathy for them, especially after events like this one today, or those parades and marches far from combat.
This is just a glimpse of what awaits the country if it maintains "its" course. However passive and lethargic most of the people are, there is a red line for them. Poverty, hunger, cold, unemployment... Most of people are completely egoistic, only once their personal livelihood is threatened, they will start acting.

Sensible comment. Problem for Poro will be getting the 300 votes to get it passed, rather than just the 265 he got today. Still, there were only a couple of hundred protesters by the look of it.Flagship Victory wrote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-34105925

This is going to be a bumpy ride and it is not even the devolving of powers that was envisaged in Minsk2. From the reaction anyone would think that these small areas of Ukraine were getting independence, far from it.

Since Poroshenko refused special status and local elections, Zackarchenko should go on the offensive now to liberate Donbas.

Yet. Those lunatics forces Yanukovich to flee and they will force Poroshenko too. This is a beginning. Poroshenko could not trust his police and army as those lunatics are also inside and they have their own armies too.

No. Zaharchenko now have to wait, that nazi and radical lunatics throw Poroshenko and restart a war. Than he will have free hands to fully defeat them.

It is unlikely that will happen. Poroshenko controls the MSM. That's how Yanukovych was overthrown. If Zackarchenko want to liberate Donbas, he will have to fight. There is no other way.

Sich is part of 93rd brigade, the one that kills Donbas civilians every day and night. He will find Poroshenko not as tolerant as Zackarchenko and Plonitsky.

Re: The Situation in the Ukraine. #20
BTW do we have a deadline when Poroshenko is supposed to implement Minsk 2? Is it October when elections take place?
I'm not exactly a fan of Donbas civilians having to die every day and night just for NAF held Donbas to serve as a frozen conflict preventing Ukraine from joining EU and NATO. Crimea alone can serve that role. No need for NAF held Donbas to serve that role. Indeed, Putin never planned for Donbas uprising. Donbas uprising was spontaneous after Crimea.
