Hello Mods , I have a request to make.

I have a good collection of Russian Defence Article from Military Parade and Moscow Defence Brief , Probably the collection is just too large from many years but very informative.

I would like to have a dedicated thread for this where I can post the article and this thread is just to post article and not to discuss , we can have discussion on the relevant thread for eg if the article is related to Tanks, we can have it in the Army thread etc. And all article will be relevant to Russian Defence and not of any other nation.

So i would like to ask the RMF staff member we can have a dedicated thread where we can archive this article so that it does not get lost in the noise of the other thread where we post and discuss.

I would give due credit to the publisher of the site along with the author and the information will be strictly for discussion and non-commercial use and educational purpose.

Can we have such a thread and if there is any other ideas i would be happy to discuss that.

What about copyright infringement? The only way I see around it is uploading it to a fileshare site in a pdf and we can post the links here. Then it becomes the responsibility of the file host.

My thinking is as long as we are giving due credit to the publication and the author and use it for non-profit and educational purpose there is no harm and it not the newest article but slightly older one that i would be posting.

If you still receive any copyright complain then we can thing about other alternatives.

The publications will ignore an article here or there, but when you start posting entire issues that give their material for free they will complain to the host and they will take you down. It is against the host rules to do so and they will shut RMF down. They don't warn you before they do it. Either host it on a fileshare or forget it.

I was thinking of a section for future weapons and military tactics. And also defence mixed with geopolitical tactics part.Perhaps this is too specific?

Alternatively, maybe a "combined defences subsection" may do the job perfectly?

Is it just me?
I find it funny when I see the photo of Che Guevara as an icon for Latin American Militaries sub forum on main forum page.

lol, never really thought about it, but now I can't not notice it.

I suggest to add notification system so that we can know who when and where mentioned or quoted us.

Can we have a section completely on Russian language? It is Russian forum but no Russian language.   

I tried the mobile version of the website. Graphic is really great, but the navigation is a little hard: the big threads, the ones with a lot of pages, start from the beginning and lack the "last" page button, so you have to click on "next" button even 50+ times in order the read the last posts. Hope the reporting is appreciated.

On your top screen you can see an arrow pointing down click on that and then choose "classic version" and your problem will be solved .

As Russian Armed Forces is currently consistent of 6 military arms ...

- Russian Army
- Russian Air Force
- Russian Navy
- Russian Airborne (VDV Elite Corps)
- Strategic Rocket and Space Forces

and Aerospace Defense Forces and I think the missing one should be added. Considerable funds are to be allocated to that branch meaning its speady development and lots of news so it deservers its own section.

Shouldn't we move the "Russian Photos" thread to this site?
I mean it's great to have a single thread for looking through military pictures, it was a major hit at mp.net why can't we have it too?

NO insults, but could we get a new banner for this site? To make it look like a litte bit more professional, would attract a lot of users.
Take a look at the indiandefence and pakistanidefence forums they are huge but we lack the same kind of "design" here.

^Great idea! Now we need some people participating in it!

Maybe people should wait for 9th may to have great pictures of Armata, Kurganetz and co.
