The railway line they ride on is abandoned so it is safe for them to ride on it.
Fort Ross is located not that far from there, as is the so-called Alley of the Giants or an area with the tallest trees in the world.
Have visited this part of the U.S.A. a long time ago. Beautiful landscapes and nature; however, there are especially many Big Foots there, as the belt of territory from central California in the south to southern Alaska in the north has most likely the highest concentration of these things in the world.
And yes, they do attack and kill people. They are most likely surviving giants from the Ante-Deluvial/Pre-Flood world.
