My favorite areas:
1. Black Sea coast - Sochi or Novorossiysk.
2. Crimea - Sevastopol or Yalta, maybe Simferopol
3. Volga Delta.
I would never relocate to Mosvow/St Petersbur - first weather and second I hate big cities.

And in the future, I think Vladivostock can become a great "Eastern capital".
For instance, in years gone by, I'm sure Abkhazia was incredibly beautiful (yes I know its not part of the Ru Fedn...). Sadly it needs updating now.

sounds like san francisco except its overrun by blacks.Vladimir79 wrote:GarryB wrote:It sure looks like a beautiful city. And doing business there will be even easier now thanks to the free port title.
If you can see, it is covered by fog half the year and overrun by Chinese. Free port just makes it that much easier for them to influence the area.

Nah, it wont give them much influence over it. Just means easier trade and may influence other countries to partake.Vladimir79 wrote:GarryB wrote:It sure looks like a beautiful city. And doing business there will be even easier now thanks to the free port title.

You mean Kalinigrad is more safe than either Moscow or St Petersburg? Why? Honest question.

And your comment sounds a lot like vancouver. But I bet you we got way more Chinese there than you have in vladivostok. I lived in Vancouver for quite a while and I do miss the look. I like rain and fog and such. I also do indeed like sun but hey, it is what I am more used to.
Is property expensive in Vladovstok? I cant seem to find many decent links.
sepheronx wrote:Sounds much the same. You got also Chinese Mafia operating here (they are huge involved in human trafficing) and the Sikh gangs as well but more secluded to Surry BC which is just outside of Vancouver proper.
Housing is roughly average about $800,000 which is not affordable to anyone excluding these wealthy foreigners.
Vladivostok has smaller population and as well, much smaller chinese population. And yeah, I imagine that if they are the ones opening up business, they will do well. The Russian citizens should have done it. Any other mob groups will still keep in check, but just means more competition to them and good, I hope they off each other.
They wont take over, that is simple propaganda. The majority is still Russian and they wont take kindly to over populating. And they are temporary, even if it is 10 years (we got visas for that long). And if they pass the new laws on immigration, then all the power to them.
