The Il-76 based KJ-2000 was too exencive to operate even for China, so they developed the KJ-200/500/700 to be fielded in large numbers.
The A-50U/100s will also be overkill IMO- the more efficient Il-96-400Ms (now in low rate production that could be increased) based AWACS could burn less (& deliver more fuel than Il-478s, btw)+free up Il-476s production for what they were primaraly designed for: move & drop cargo, armor with its paratroopers.
Having extra 1-2 dozen more Il-476s will nicely make up for latest Il-76/An-12/72 shortages & losses. The Il-114s could also be used as AEW&C platform like the SAAB 2000 to replace An-12 based EW & Il-20/22 planes.
