It was confirmed that NATO anti-submarine forces have been unable to detect the submarine "Rostov-on-Don" in the Mediterranean Sea for a week

The systems are likely standardised across the Indian Kilos and Chinese Kilos as well as Romanian and Polish and Iranian and Vietnamese Kilos.
The information present near port would not be that secret... if they were submerged and detecting targets the type of targets and distance they were being detected might be worth hiding...

The Project 636.3 diesel-electric submarine Rostov-on-Don that is making an inter-fleet transit after its first planned repairs will join the Russian Navy’s standing taskforce in the Mediterranean Sea, a source in Crimean defense circles told TASS on Friday.

This is the third submarine of project 636.3 for the Russian Navy
ST. PETERSBURG, March 23. /TASS/. Admiralty shipyards will launch the third large diesel-electric submarine Magadan for the Russian Pacific fleet on March 26. This was reported by the press service of the shipyards on Tuesday.
"On March 26, 2021, Admiralty shipyards JSC will host a solemn ceremony of launching the Magadan submarine of project 636.3 for the Russian Navy," the report says.
Magadan is the third submarine of the series for the Pacific fleet, laid down on November 1, 2019. Today, the degree of technical readiness of the ship is more than 80%, the final stage of preparing the ship for launch is underway, and special rubber coatings are being installed on the hull. Further in the schedule - final coloring, closing of release certificates and certificates.
The contract for the construction of a series of submarines was signed in September 2016. The first ship - Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky-was handed over to the Russian Navy on November 25, 2019. The second Volkhov submarine in the series joined the Pacific fleet on October 24, 2020.

The first two "Varshavyanka" for the Pacific Fleet began exercises in the Baltic Sea
According to the report, the crews of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Volkhov submarines will work out actions to carry out combat missions at sea by a single ship. Also, as part of the exercises, both submarines will attack the surface ship, and then they will evade search groups of the conditional enemy, the role of which will be played by the ships of the Baltic Fleet.

Quick, up the R&D spend on the P-8! It might do some jobs well but I would have thought this was the most important one and it fails at it.

Why would anyone believe in tweets or news articles on subs at operational level like this on either side and does not matter whether its plus or minus? Clearly things like this will not come to twitter with any degree of confidence and even if its official, who knows what the agenda is? More funding? The second production submarine "Magadan" of project 636.3 "Varshavyanka" is completing the stage of mooring tests. According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, the diesel-electric submarine crew is preparing the submarine to enter the factory chassis.
