It could be worse, you could be watching Rambo 3 where at the end of the movie there's a message personally thanking the Afghan Mujahadeen. Leave it to Hollyweird to pump out horrendously inaccurate movies after another, on top of being stupefying mind numbing garbage.
I don't remember the credits... when they had that horse mounted charge on those Soviet forces that included at least one ZSU-23-4 my eyes were full of water and I was on the floor laughing...

This is part of the stuff most people don't consider when they think about production... machine tools, even having access to a super computer so you can run thousands of simulations an hour and try all sorts of weird solutions without wasting time on the prototypes you end up testing to model level.
Excellent news.
BTW it was always part of the plan that up until about 2015 than new products and upgrades will be developed while C4IR is sorted out... after 2015 actual production should take off with a balance of domestic and export production hopefully to be taken over by increased export demand.

Russian Helicopters to build Russia’s largest helicopter gearbox and transmission assembly and testing facility
Russian Aviaton » Friday September 12, 2014 12:13 MSK
Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of State Corporation Rostec, has launched construction of a new assembly and testing facility at its Reductor-PM plant in Perm. An official ceremony in Perm today was attended by Perm region Governor Viktor Basargin, Russian Helicopters Deputy CEO for Production Andrey Shibitov, Perm region Prime Minister Gennady Tushnolobov, Perm region Minister for Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade Alexey Chibisov, and Perm city administration head Igor Sapko. On completion, the facility will be the largest of its type in Russia.
Construction facilities are currently being put in place at the site, and preparatory groundworks are under way. At today’s official ceremony a plaque was unveiled with the start and end dates of the construction, August 2014 and December 2016. This period will see an advanced 20,000 sq m production facility built to house Reductor-PM’s assembly and testing plant.

“The start of construction of this assembly and testing facility is an important event for the whole of our region,” said Perm region Governor Viktor Basargin. “The development of advanced high-tech manufacturing will create a solid foundation for the regional economy and will be a key factor in its future growth, by making the region more attractive as an investment destination and strengthening its reputation as a national leader both economically and technologically.”
“For Russian Helicopters, upgrading our production facilities is an extremely important task,” said Andrey Shibitov, Deputy CEO for Production. “Today we are making significant investments to create unique centres of excellence. Reductor-PM is home to one of these centres, for designing, producing, testing and after-sales service of helicopter transmissions.”
“Construction of this new facility is long overdue,” said Nikolai Semikopenko, Managing Director of Reductor-PM. “Today our plant is home to unique isolating test-stands for testing 8M transmissions as well as tail transmissions and angle gearboxes for the Mi-28N. We are also working on creating test stands for VR-8A, VR-14, VR-23, VR-29 and VR-26 main gearboxes. We want to create Russia’s largest helicopter gearbox testing centre while meeting strict sustainability criteria. Construction of the new production facility is a major step towards reaching this goal.”
As well as increasing testing capacity, the new facility will significantly expand Reductor-PM’s assembly plant, meaning that gearboxes and transmission units can be assembled to meet global best practices.
Over the last five years, Russian Helicopters has implemented several large-scale investment projects at Reductor-PM. In 2013 a thermo-chemical parts processing plant – the only one of its kind in Russia – was opened, following investment of more than RUB 1.3 billion. More than 40 machines were purchased for processing gear-wheels, including some with spiral-bevel teeth. Work is ongoing to upgrade the plant’s machine tools for production of body parts and shaft machining. Today the company is also upgrading its electroplating facilities. Total investment in 2014-2016 will amount to more than RUB 3.5 billion.

Continuing on the machine tool topic, more positive news this time regarding next generation of machine tool lubricants that increase cost-efficiency and productivity by a significant margin. The machine tool modernization will increase aircraft production efficiency by a wide-margin on it's own (no doubt), in addition to supplement that front, a separate development of the next generation of machine tool lubricants reduces machining force by 59%. It will also improve wear resistance of the tool and parts seven fold and increases productivity of manufacturing two fold, and above all the surface quality of manufactured items, pieces, parts and spares will increase two fold. The new generation of lubricants will both increase the quality and reduce the cost of aircraft parts and spares by a significant margin:
"Aircraft Equipment" will show the newest technological developments
Experts examined the technical implementation of the holding "effect wearlessness"
Engineers Company "Respirator", part of the holding "Aircraft Equipment" , will take part in the VII All-Russian Conference of Young Scientists and Specialists "The Future Engineering of Russia." In the section "Renovating technology in mechanical engineering" they will present the results of applied research on the implementation of a fundamental scientific discovery Garkunova - Kragelskii "wearlessness effect."
Engineers "Respirator" will present the results of three years of applied research in the field of technological implementation of the "effect wearlessness" Garkunova - Kragelskii, according to a press release from the holding . Process development is that reducing friction surfaces of the cutting tool and workpiece leading to increased strength of the products, to reduce costs and reduce the amount of time required for processing the product.
Scientific articles engineers "Respirator" on this topic have been previously published in Russian scientific journals and a number of American publications.
Practical study consisted in changing the composition of the fluids used for machining instead of traditional lubricating fluids used in the processing of specialty lubricants new, more dense structure. Also used new tools helical shape to handle the holes in metal products, providing a smooth high-speed machining, a reliable supply of lubricants and reducing tool wear.
Head of theses Alexey Shchedrin present the results of studies of their wards, consisting in the change of the composition of oils for machining and exploitation in friction. Reducing losses in friction and wear parts and tools in the processing and operation is achieved by using additives "Valen" added to the oil.
Composition of a new additive reduces machining force by 59% and improves the wear resistance of the tool and parts seven times and two times increases productivity of manufacturing. In addition, twice as improving the quality of the surface receiving the item. Obviously, all these parameters ultimately lead to a reduction in the cost of production.
"The performance of our young scientists would not be so successful if the company were not provided with conditions for creative activity, - said General Director of" Respirator "Alexander Bryzgalin. - With the support of the quality of engineering education, improve working conditions for engineers and enhance their professional status at all its facilities, our specialists have the opportunity not only to make fundamental discoveries, but also put them into production. The next stage of technological development NPP "Respirator" will be the introduction of the results of theses in real current production. "
All-Russian Conference of Young Scientists and Specialists "The Future Engineering of Russia" is devoted to the use of the latest achievements of science, engineering and technology in the industry. Held annually since 2007, Russian Engineering Union. Participation in the event is about 1,000 experts from around the country. Co-founder of the conference in 2014 made Goskorporatsiya Rosteh. Russian Helicopters strengthens market positions in South Asia
Russian Aviaton » Tuesday December 2, 2014 20:21 MSK
Russian Helicopters, part of State Corporation Rostec, will showcase its latest helicopters at International Defence Exhibition & Seminar (IDEAS 2014) in Karachi on 1-4 December. On display in collaboration with Rosoboronexport – the company’s partner for exports of military aircraft – will be the Mi-171E and Mi-17V-5 transports, as well as the Mi-35M transport and combat helicopter.
The Mi-171E and Mi-17V-5 are designed to carry personnel and cargo, and can fly a range of missions to supply and evacuate troops. The medium multirole Mi-171E is the principal transport helicopter of the Pakistani Armed Forces. Mi-8/17-series helicopters are widely used across South Asia, and are often an indispensable means of transport and form the core of military helicopter fleets.
Follow us on: Follow ruaviation on Twitter
In October 2014 Russia completed deliveries of 63 Mi-17V-5 transport helicopters to the Afghan National Army under a Rosoboronexport contract. The Mi-17V-5 is produced by Kazan Helicopters, a Russian Helicopters company, and has repeatedly demonstrated its abilities in adverse climatic conditions in Afghanistan’s mountain regions.
Earlier in 2014 another large Rosoboronexport contract was fulfilled with the delivery to China of 52 Mi-171E helicopters built by Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, another Russian Helicopters company. The Mi-171E operates successfully in China, and is widely used in regions with challenging terrain and harsh climates to transport medical supplies, humanitarian aid and construction materials.
The Mi-35M transport and combat helicopter was developed from the legendary Mi-24 and uses the latest systems and technologies. It is designed to destroy enemy armoured vehicles, provide supporting firepower for ground troops, drop parachute troops, evacuate wounded personnel, and transport goods inside the cabin and on an external sling.

The aircraft combines rich military operational experience with the latest developments in helicopter-building, and is in service with the armed forces of Russia, Brazil, Azerbaijan and other countries.

Russian Helicopters plans new service centre network abroad
MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/. Aviation design and manufacturers Russian Helicopters will open servicing centers to form an international network, the company announced on Tuesday, joining exhibitors at a Moscow civil aviation show.
"In 2017, we plan to open a servicing center for Mi-8/17 helicopters in Egypt; in 2016, a Mi-35M servicing centre in Brazil and a center for Mi-171SH in Peru," a statement said. "In 2018, we plan to complete reequipping the servicing centre for Mi-17V-5 in India," it added.
"Today, around 8,700 Russian-made helicopters operate in more than 100 countries. One of the main priorities for the company is to provide reliable and affordable servicing support to our clients," said servicing operations deputy chief Yury Borisov.
"Last year, five aircraft repair plants in Russian regions were transferred from the Ministry of Defense to our company," the announcement said."
"More than that, new prospects for development were offered in October 2014 when Russian Helicopters, with the support of Rostech [Russian state corporation], gained the right to sell products for military purposes abroad," it went on.

As far as i know photons act like particle when they meet nothing and act like wave when they hit a material. Now would be easy that to put something at photons exit to make them being waves but....is this change permanent or only when they meet matter? Also could be a idea to hit matter whit photons (or better said particles) to obtain a electromagnetic field. I know that qt some interactions a electromagnetic field apear. Or waves i dont remember
Particle interactions give all kind of stuff that could be usefull[/quote]

Maibe if we study the moment in wich a photon became a wave we can discover if we can make them waves. Lets think that same radio waves that are maked from photons (aka when they are waves) are produced by a antenna. So combining what is happen in a antenna whit what is happen to free photons we may get some device that could make waves from a laser beam.

The problem is that all laser photons have different frecvencies at wich thwy work. Would be needed huge equipment to registrate all. Maibe a "wave frecvency uniformizer" would work. Dont know how. Maibe just raising and lowering energy of then until they became uniform.

Modernization MiGs has been halted by the arrest of the Director of a "curtain"
The manager trafficking weapons/explosives.....
Anyway, this will possibly cause a setback to Mikoyan aircraft modernizations.
An unexpected twist happened in the situation surrounding the arrest of the head of the famous St. Petersburg plant defense JSC "Barrier" Alexander Gorbunov in a criminal case of illegal possession of weapons and explosives. Investigators and investigators seized the company during searches of computers and electronic media than paralyzed him. "Barrier" uploaded by orders of the Ministry of defense until 2018 and, in particular, participates in the modernization of the MiG-31, so that the execution of the state defense order was in jeopardy. Now the defense Ministry is trying to solve the issue of the reopening of "Barrier".

I don't know, why company could not work further, when a director is arrested. This is a case against a person, not against a company.

They probably want to find out what technologies were compromised before they impliment them... if he has given away the keys you need to change the locks before you finish the house... so to speak...

http://lenta.ru/news/2015/07/15/blades/
I wander for some time, how Russia have no problems for helicopter engines, as they produce small number of fully domestic engines and for the rest they have to import blades from Ukraine. Now it is clear, they don't import them from Ukraine, but from SMZ plant in Snezhnoe in DNR, Novorussia. I more think Ukrainian Motor Sich have problems with those blades as this plant was producing blades for Motor Sich and now they don't sell them to Ukraine.
