Belarus received four more combat training aircraft Yak-130
According to the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, the delivery of another batch of combat-training aircraft Yak-130 to the armed forces of Belarus took place. Under the agreement between the Ministry of Defense of Belarus and PJSC Irkut Research and Production Corporation on the development of military-technical cooperation, four more Yak-130 aircraft were transferred to military unit 19764 [116th Guards Ground Attack Aviation Base of the Air Force and Air Defense of Belarus]. On May 11, 2019 at the airfield Lida held a solemn event dedicated to this significant event in the life of the personnel of the air base.
The ceremony of transferring to the 116th Guards Ground Attack Aviation Base of the Air Force and Air Defense of Belarus four more combat-training Yak-130 aircraft built by Irkut Research and Production Corporation PJSC with red tail numbers from "79" to "82". Lida (Belarus), 11.05.2019 (c) Ministry of Defense of BelarusForms from airplanes were handed over to personnel by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, Lieutenant General Andrei Ravkov.
The first batch of these combat training aircraft Lida airmen received in 2015. In 2016, the anniversary date - the 75th anniversary of the formation of the military unit, the personnel received another 4 combat training vehicles.
The unique flight characteristics of the Yak-130 greatly expanded the possibilities for preparing the flight personnel for combat use in ground and air targets. Modern equipment of the Yak-130 cockpit, a complex of guided and unguided weapons, allow the aircraft to be used as an attack aircraft and fighter, not only during the training of flight personnel, but also when solving combat missions. This compact aircraft can “take with itself” up to 3,000 kg of aviation weapons at nine external suspension units (the Su-25 attack aircraft can be suspended up to 4,000 kg APS).
From the moment of arrival of the first aircraft, the flight and engineering and technical staff of the air base in the shortest possible time perfectly mastered all the subtleties of its operation. As a result, the experience gained by personnel in the maintenance, operation and combat use of the aircraft significantly increased the combat potential of the aviation base.
In 2016, on the Yak-130 aircraft, Lida pilots successfully launched launches of air-to-air guided missiles, landed on the airfield section of the highway, and worked out the use of precision weapons — bombing of corrected aerial bombs.
In 2017, the crews of the Yak-130 performed combat training tasks during exercises at the Ashuluk training ground of the Russian Federation, where they showed excellent results of combat use.
In 2018, pilots of the aviation base during the Armi-2018 Army International Games on Yak-130 aircraft took second place in the Aviadarts competition in the nomination “Attack Aviation”, successfully competing with the crews of Su-25 and modernized Su-25 aircraft. 25CM
Since 2015, the crews on the Yak-130 take part in all the parades of the troops of the Minsk garrison. The parade in honor of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus and the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders will be no exception.

During the ceremony on May 11, 2019, in Lida, four new Yak-130 aircraft with red side numbers "79" to "82" were transferred to a separate squadron of the 116th Guards Ground Attack Aviation Base of Belarus. Recall that in December 2012 the Belarusian side signed the first contract for the purchase of the first four Yak-130 aircraft. These first four aircraft were completed in Irkutsk at the beginning of 2015 and received Belarusian airborne numbers from "71" to "74" in red, respectively, and were transferred to the Air Force and Air Defense of Belarus in Lida on April 27, 2015.
Then the Ministry of Defense of Belarus signed a contract for the purchase of four more Yak-130 airplanes on August 26, 2015 during the MAKS-2015 air show. The airplanes were built at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant of Irkut Research and Production Corporation PJSC, having received color of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of Belarus and Belarusian board numbers in red from 75 to 78 and were transferred to the Belarusian side in Lida on November 23, 2016.
