Interesting comment by a very senior officer. My highlights and clearly some US forces in Syria are not 'special'.

http://theduran.com/israeli-missile-strike-reversing-shift-military-balance/
What I was able to piece together from this article is following:
1) Israel is getting angsty about Syrian AA network improvements due to fresh Russian hardware even if it's just mid-range stuff and wants to trim it down
2) Iran is still hell bent on doing stupid thing at inappropriate time thus providing Israel with perfect excuse for the attacks intended to destroy SAA air defense network
3) SAA is actually getting good results with AA systems (at very least when they leave it on 'auto')
4) Russia is perfectly satisfied with leaving Israel and Iran going at each other as long as SAA stays in good fighting shape and doesn't take too much flak
5) Russia also intends to quietly keep improving SAA air defense network since Pantsirs seem to be performing quite well, basically more of the same until they reach the sweet spot
6) Russia intends to wrap this whole thing up to their advantage and remain on good terms with Israel
Good way to keep Israel from repeating this nonsense would be for Iran to pack up and leave the south entirely and let Russian troops park there. It would placate Israel and make any new attacks impossible. But I have a feeling that they are to stubborn for that.

Well since I am whiter than a snowman I could not care less about being called nigger but refugee part is bit confusing, care to elaborate?
Gypsies are considered alright in these parts (non-nomad ones) and monkey is just rude
Also, I do see a ban in your future as Kilo pointed out so please hurry with explanation...

You know fuck all gypsy.......
Iran has a 100,000+ mercenaries and militia's operating in Syria. Do you think Russia can replace them?......lol.....?
You should stfu as you are embarrassing everyone here.
Hey Lulldapull, notice the bit I highlighted? ..you do understand that he is interpreting what is being said in the article don't you?
He is not saying that Iran is crap and needs to leave Syria... he is saying that an Iranian presence near Israeli occupied Syrian territory is making them nervous and that is why they keep launching attacks and will probably keep launching attacks until they don't feel nervous any more.
His suggestion is to replace Iranians with Russians IN THAT AREA only, so the Jewz calm the fuck down... when all of Syria is restored to Syrian control and all the little terrorist groups... and the US are kicked out, then Iran and Syria and for that matter Russia can look at getting the Golan Heights back under Syrian control where it belongs.
BTW your language and personal attacks are too excessive to ignore... I am going to give you a couple of days (3) break to calm the hell down and realise if you don't treat other members with respect perhaps your next ban will be much longer.
I hope you show a bit of maturity and just do your porridge. I personally like having the opinion of an Iranian here... I think it has value, but not at the cost of bad manners.

Well Israel and Syria left Lebanon, in 2000 and 2005, respectively.
Maybe it's time for Iran to gtfo Syria.

Israel can be no exception in having politicians that exercise strange and often misguided policies. It would be in everyone's favor if Syria and Lebanon sat down with Israel and sort their issues out. Kick out HzB militancy and completely kick out any Iranian influence. Israel could give back several villages in the Golan plain areas and Syria could take over the full length of the UNDOF areas, as part of a deal.

as much as S-400s.
Range, speed and warhead size are not a problem, it is a huge long range, high altitude interceptor. But the radar and guidance characteristics look very outdated.
Cool! But I am sceptical as to repairing those radars at all unless the hit was a minor one.Vann7 wrote:

Dont have info in that regard, but it makes sense since it appears to be a missile aimed mainly at strategic bombersVann7 wrote:
S-200 major disadvantage is that it doesn't do turns quickly in a chase..
True. In particular Lebanon airspace is a serious problem since the fighters can pop up, launch their missiles from there and hide again, so they can saturate the AD. Israel can involve many more fighters next time if they want to degrade the Syrian AD. It would be better to have A-50, some MiG-29 like you said (this one would be a dangerous escalation nevertheless) so the long range missiles can keep the IAF away from launching points.Vann7 wrote:
So S-200s and S-300s ,S-400s alone dont work..
Agree. Thing now is Syria, Israel and US are closer than never to direct confrontation. So as said above, the risks of Israel actually increasing the scale of these attacks tends to grow as Syria plans to retake their buffer area near Golan Heights. And the current number of point defences will be irremediably overwhelmed and begin suffering attrition (even the modern systems) like we are starting to see. Something more is needed.Vann7 wrote:

The love for Israel in this thread is grossly excessive. Israel and Uncle Scumbag were and still are backing Daesh and the rest of the
jihadi invaders in Syria.
lulldapull is right, Iranian ground forces contribution is invaluable. Clowns who scoff at this are simply being true to their clownishness.
The problem Russia has is that it is too weak. So it tries to dance with the US and its minions which pisses off the Iranians. But the
Iranians need to get a grip and realize that escalation is not in their best interests either. But all of these ME regimes have a similar
hysterical behaviour pattern.

There's an important point Mercouris makes that you're not piecing together:
"As for the role of Iran in these military exchanges, in my opinion too much should not be made of this. Iran has become Israel’s and the US’s all purpose alibi in justifying their continued attacks on Syria. Doubtless – as the Russians say – some Iranian or Iranian controlled facilities in Syria really were attacked as part of this latest strike, presumably in order to give some substance to this alibi. However this constant dragging in of Iran to explain or excuse Israeli attacks on Syria should not mislead about what is really going on. It was Syria and its air defence system not Iran which appears to have been the target." (my emphasis added)
Just pointing that out to make his position on that matter clear. Doesn't mean it's unassailable truth, but he is a pretty decent analyst, imo.
I'd add that Iran's presence in Syria can be justified as a sovereign decision of the legitimate Syrian government, exactly as applies to Russia's presence. Unless the Syrian government is demanding that they leave then who else should rightly be doing so, Israel? FUCKS? Fuck that. I'm no particular supporter of Iran, or detractor, but I personally view everything else through that perspective first.

The Saudis have a nuclear weapons program. But Washington and its ass pimple allies only care about Iran.
Let that sink in for a moment. The Saudi Wahabbi extremism is the base of basically all Islamic terrorism around the world.
This includes Chechnya and Indonesia. The only "terrorism" that Iran exports is support for Hezbollah. The claim
that Hezbollah is a terrorist organization is utter rubbish. Pure Orwellian newspeak.

I reckon the approach looked too slow for a missile to me but this footage shows that a Delilah could indeed be the weapon used against the Pantsir as Mindstorm points out:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNYUXgl7SsM
The Delilah is a loitering munition after all. Don't know if a Harop would be also a possible suspect.

Re: Syrian War: News #17
I ask again because no answers last time. Does anyone have seen iranian missiles launched on israeli ? Any picture of damage or some parts of missiles on the ground ? On twiter or other website ? The impact maybe ?
There are tens or warships there from different countries, did they pick up them on radar ? That's pathetic that so much countries are gonna lie for israel.
I suppose Israeli army would have shown them if they really existed to show that Iran really lunched them. Or maybe they are waiting those that US have bring at UN last time ...
