On Tuesday, Iraqi fighter jets hit a terrorist base in the town of Barwanah, located some 200 kilometers northwest of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, killing the alleged Daesh war minister, identified as Samer Mohammad Matloub Hussein al- Mahlawi, Lebanon's al-Ahed news website reported.
Over 100 vehicles belonging to the terrorists were also demolished in the operation, including a number of cars equipped with explosive materials during the offensives in Barwanah and Haditah cities. The airstrikes left more than 250 Daesh militants killed.
Moreover, a number of Daesh terrorists were killed on Tuesday as fighters from Popular Mobilization Units stormed a congregation of the militants in the vicinity of the main hospital in Ramadi, situated about 110 kilometers west of Baghdad.

As the US continues to bomb Daesh, also known as IS/Islamic State, it refuses to accept that its Syrian operations are a losing campaign. As Breaking Defense points out, this failure relates to the Pentagon’s limited – and outdated – idea of its technological and moral superiority.

As defined by Zweibelson, technical rationalism refers to military strategies that can be "objectively and analytically measured and controlled within universal principles and techniques." Namely, that any conflict can be solved by simple technological superiority over an enemy.
This viewpoint, according to the pundit, is severely limiting, especially given that much of the Pentagon’s strategy is designed for traditional warfare against rival nation states.

Russia has been supplying the Iraqi Armed Forces with weapons, fighter jets and attack helicopters.
