Anyone remembers the SSN thresher?.
An SSN submarine that was supposedly lost with all hands in an swift implosion?.
The U.S continued the narrative she imploded after passing crush depth when they lost Depth Control.
There was even testified in hearings/court this was the truth.
Turns out, At least some of Thresher's crew survived for an while after they lost depth control.
An 50 year old report was released from the Navy today, after the initial incident there where still survivors on board trying to communicate to the U.S navy submarine that searched for her.
I found the original file its 600 pages long, from page 120 to 130 there is the ship's log from USS Seawolf that found Tresher trying to communicate.

Also, if anyone wants an expert opinion on this file. go to this guy; sub brief.
He really knows submarines in and out and served himself on several types.
Here are the logs if you dont know your way around PDF or cant watch it right now:
It is gut wrenching. you do not want to wish this on anyone to go down like this.
R.I.P to all who went down.
And respects to the Seawolf crew that found her while there where still survivors.
It must have been an tough time for them.
