I've been rolling with Blood Ravens back when Dawn of War games were still good

These days I often find myself getting lost in WH40k wiki reading for hours, so much stuff

I'm a loyal servant of God Emperor (in my darker moments I do gravitate towards Grandfather Nurgle but always in moderation)

I welcome any loyal servant of the Emperor.

Perhaps i can advice you to the channels of our Brothers Arch, Onemindsyndicate and jumbo thick?.
To chichel up your education about heretical factions?.

i know the games after DOW1 sucked. i made mods for soulstorm especially
Things went really downhill after that.

You can always repent in the eye of Terror for your deeds. As you know.
@papadragon, i know its an fantasy universe. But its regarless nice to hear we both share an allegiance in this to the Emperium.

Welcome Brother Wink. As our mortal human forms will join in resisting the common enemy Wink.

Used to collect a Dark Angels army

    Many many years ago

These days I do still delve back into the universe from time to time, through internet source materials, fan fiction and video games mostly

All in all I have to say the universe is a masterwork.
Although like every other macho cultural product of the 80s-early 90s I'm sure it's being degraded now with shoehorned feminism, SJW, LGBT and whatever else. Basically the influence of Chaos.

Hence why I mostly stick to fan fiction, as well as video games where the corruption of the Warp is weaker.. What a Face

Original Dawn of War was awesome

Dawn of War 2 had watered down gameplay but at least units looked great (and were to scale), story was fun and cutscenes looked amazing so it was at least enjoyable to look at

Dawn of War 3 was just short rehash of 2 and they couldn't even put in some effort in cutscenes, they looked like screensavers

I didn't bother with playing that one, I just went to YouTube and watched story video, saved me loads of time and money (at least my dude Warboss Gorgutz got some character development Cool )

But like I said, these days I mostly read wiki or watch videos and I always remember the good old wisdom: "It's better to die for the Emperor than to live for yourself"

Here is a good video summary of general situation in the galaxy:

I know, i still play DoW:Soulstorm from time to time with the ultimate apocalypse mod.
Altough i could not leave the coding alone in that one either and modded the imperial gaurd into an massive airborne force with reworked urban camo for the units and buildings in campaigns that are normally hard-coded.
Basically whatever you build will remain in the production building untill "deep striked".
Then Valkyries would drop down and drop Forces to reinforce where needed.
    Warhammer (40K) fans? 20210712

Dont mind the fatal AI error, its because when steam makes an screenshot it crashes the mods AI.
It can not handle an interruption if its not in-game.

I saw your posted vid, and i know it all seems to have gone to crap.
Lets just hope GW does not take the same shitty way of writing as they did in the End Times of Warhammer fantasy universe.
I always loved Cadia, It never surrendered and some of the best troops came from here.
seeing it obliterated with just a few cutscenes...i felth it was so cheap.
In my opinion if they wanted to get rid of Cadia they should have made it an campaign on itself.
Even when the blackstone fortress was unstoppable still would have engaged for Void Superiority so the Forces on the ground have more time to disengage.
But that maybe is just me being an Imperial fanboy.
And i know, ... the Imperials themselves do not hesitate to execute Exterminatus while their own forces are still fighting on the surface.

And of Course Wink. The Emperor Protects.
Also if this is the End, its better to get my ass back into the I.G and find myself an Trench to defend.
I am not going to wait for the End to come trough my front door at home.

i do not know how events will work out, anything i would say here would be pure speculation.
Lets just say if GW decides to twist the neck of 40K as well they get added to my shitlist next to the likes of E.A.

I try to still have hope, like you pointed out. Dow:2 had great looking units and more importantly an great story.
I think they went here two steps back by not including base-building and the vehicle use like in dow1.

dow:3?. uhm?. who played that? Razz.
I really do not know what that one had to do with Warhammer dawn of war.

I also play often Total war:Warhammer 2 as the Empire or Skaven.
I used to dislike fantasy but i grown quite fond of it.

The imperium in its higher-tech stages can function like an WW1 army with tanks, artillery and repeating guns.

Skaven, Clan scryre just go the extra mile really. With Gattling guns, chemical warfare artillery and long-range snipers.
Skaven, everyones favourite furry psychopaths in Warhammer.
That have figuratively "loony tunes" written on their foreheads with how over the top evil they are and all the shit they think off and blows up on regular basis up in their faces.
But,..only side so far that employ's tactical nuke's Wink.

    @Flamming_python.

I am an "live and let live" kind a guy.
If people dont bother me, i dont bother them.
But personally i am also seriously done with all the LGBT-whatever propaganda getting forced in everywhere.
Everyone has equal rights, An minority of the population has not special rights.
But its an topic on its own i guess.

Yes, they made attempts with that already with posts that they should be more inclusive and all.
But its seriously the least suitable universe ever to try to shoe-horn the Alfabet-people in.

    ....Because It is Heresy!.
Just remember to report them to your nearest inquisition officer Brother Python.
They will take care of the rest.

I guess all those black ships full of psyker sacrifices have to count for something right? Wink.

On one hand i refuse that this war is over, throw the shackles off the Adeptus Mechanicus.
The Baneblade Tank was in the Dark age of Technology an recon tank.
Imagine if we can force these things off an assembly line?.

time for conservation is over, the actual end of the universe is here.
Send open invitations to any race out there capable of sapient tought.
The eldar, the orcs, Tau, no-one will be left if Chaos or Tyranids are not stopped.

Especially the Tau can be invaluable as logistical ally's. they do not depend on the Warp to travel.
they can bypass Chaos and allow Imperium strike groups to appear at locations at will in Chaos-controlled space.
Dont screw around as imperials with the Tau, discuss systems that will be theirs after, offer an permanent truce and get their FTL technology.

Get the eldar as well with their ancient gate network, their Craftworlds surival depend on real-space being uncorrupted. They have shown so far to be willing to co-operate in dire circumstances. i dont see how this is different.

Prefferably, the Empire keeps their word with the Eldar. Promises kept lasts generations, so does acts of betrayal.

Lets Pray to our God-Emperor he sees us trough these hardships Wink

Also, ....is this all an Fantasy universe? Razz.

I was always been a gigantic fan of Cadia. i still am.
Lets just say recent events made the unit incapable of being combat capable.
my other favourite in the first place:

    The Death Gaurd of Krieg.
WW1/2 german infantry themed infantry of the Imperium of Man.

Propably the only Imperial Warhammer 40K faction that actually kills its own "handlers" A.K.A Commisars for perceived cowardice.

The new Space Marine 2 40K game made by Russian game Studio caught my eye and reminds me of my Starcraft days.
