Very impressive, kind of looks like the tank in the new ARMA 3 game!

Thank you. I must say I am very happy the way the entire tank turned out in the end... I am very much satisfied with it.

You refer to Israeli Merkava 4 tank (which I think have a lot good design solutions)? There is some resemblance on the turret from the front side, but it was not intentional. After all, all tanks have some similarities... they have the tracks, body, turret, gun... lol

Re: Concept n_n
Nice... but if you say you take the latest designs when you design your tank... why is your turret still manned...

Ofc it is, must be, it was made by me!

What do you mean? Do you mean why does the tank have human crew in it or you are asking why is the crew in the turret?
I dont remember saying crew was in the turret...
Cobra69 wrote:I did consider making a tank without the usual turret (making it only what was necessary for the gun), but I dismissed that cause I had to put a lot of toys on the tank and I needed the turret in the end, though it is not a regular turret.

My thoughts exactly.
Wigen: it does look quite badly like a Merkava though you can't deny that.

You think? Well, I recommend you to revise your knowledge about the tanks than... Maybe you can start with the specifications I gave on page 7 and also take a closer look at my tank, specially the turret and dimensions. After that, you can ponder some other tanks too...
As I remember it...

I like the slopes and I think it is a good solution on a tank but you really have to be an amateur to say it is a copy of Merkava. I guess you just don't have too excessive knowledge when tanks come in question. I understand that you are a gamer, but still...
Anyway, I am glad that you like my tank.

The scale is not right, but I hope this will help:
I still strongly recommend you to take a look at some other tanks... they all have tracks, gun, turret, etc...

Earlier today, it was announced that the new surface-to-air system will be presented to the public. Wigen Heavy Industries also declared cooperation with Almaz-Antey concern on this project.

I don't think FLaming was actually accusing you of stealing the Merkava look, just more of a general similarity.
Ofc it is impossible to escape that, given that you can only go so far in making your own practical design and not looking identical to the hundreds of vehicles produced or trialed.

Re: Concept n_n
I didn't think he was cause that would be just talking rubbish. I just wanted to be helpful and show him few things so he can understand the entire idea a little better cause it seemed to me that his knowledge on the matter is not too vast.
I did put there the comparison of Merkava and M110-2010 and also T-90 to prove my point better. I just hoped he could learn something and say thanks in the process, that is all... but I guess i expected too much of him.
Anyway, I must agree on this:

A lot of vehicles look alike from certain angles, the same goes for... lets say cars.

First test vehicle (sector scanning radar) of new MP110-2012 system... vehicle R2:
We could not get any better pictures at this time, cause none were available at Wigen Heavy Industries.
Short animation video clip was given though... MP110-2012 R2 and M110-2010 behind.

Was the MP-110 system developed in conjunction with Antei-Almaz by any chance?
Very nice BTW.

You are not watching the news on TV carefully...
As it was reported:

Viktor convinced me to design and model S-400/500 look alike based on M110 chassis... he said it might draw some attention here, but it doesn't look like that so far.
I hoped I could find someone to help me and work with me on some designs here, but I don't see many people on this topic lately.

I am impressed with your skills with the tools you are using, my talents don't extend to 3D modelling.
I simply don't have the patience or attention to detail, though I appreciate the work of those that do, like yourself.
Don't be disheartened with no replies... sometimes we just don't have an answer.

I am well aware that not everyone has the skills for everything, but I kinda hoped that I would get some suggestions about something that I might have missed or on something that I can improve. I see that there is a lot of people here with interesting ideas and thought maybe we can cooperate or something... just to have fun.

Re: Concept n_n
Interesting.
I suspect however the twin or more engine mantra with the Russian air force will continue so even a light LFI or LFS will likely have two engines.
It is interesting they are talking about a stealthy 5th gen CAS aircraft to replace the Su-25... is it possible they might go for a cross between an F-35 and Su-25 to get a cheap light but stealthy aircraft with the potential for an internal Air to air payload for stealthy use and a huge external payload for anti armour use that is not so stealthy?
