This is the news I want to read.
So A-135 is being modernized. Thats great. I would not mind seeing this piece of
art in some other places (Kaliningrad ), far East specially now when new generation Voronez M/DM radar is being constructed.
And this 40N6 now being officially admitted after years and years of speculation often denial. Just great, cant wait to see it in the action or at least testing ground.
Its nice to hear about 9M96 / 9M100 missile after long time. We all expect to see it on board project 20380/22350 in huge numbers althrow little disappointed by its testing time length. After seeing S.Korea testing its version I expected Russian one to be at least one step ahead.

In many ways I think the cooperation with South Korea will benefit the system much as UAE paying for Pantsir to be developed into the much more capable Pantsir-S1.
Good to hear they are moving forward with the long range missile for S-400 and the Vityaz and Morfei missiles too. (9M96 and 9M100).

The expert council on Russia’s Aerospace Defense System (ADS) has proposed consolidating all the related defense-industry enterprises into a single holding, council executive director Boris Cheltsov said on Friday.
Priority should be given to establishing an ADS managing company and holding modeled on the Almaz-Antey air-defense corporation, United Shipbuilding Corporation and United Aircraft Corporation, he said.
The holding will work on projects for the ADS unified strategic command combining air, missile and space defenses, which was established in December 2011, Cheltsov said.
It combines the existing air defense and missile defense networks, missile early-warning systems and airspace monitoring systems under a unified strategic command.

All the different components working together so that all the systems will be better integrated sounds like a good idea, but will it retain a structure that promotes striving like competition does, but without the dual effort waste that competition also creates?
The problem I see immediately is that if this is for the Space and Air Defence Forces then the analogy doesn't work...
The Ship building Corporation is hardly going to be doing much work for the Army, and will likely do most of its work for the Navy.
The united aircraft corporation will likely be working for the Air force, with some work for the Navy and also for the PVO... which is now part of the space and air defence forces.
Almaz-Antey make SAMs and other precision guided missiles, so it will be working for the Navy, the Army, the Space and Air Defence Forces, and the Air Force.
Putting together a dedicated company that makes stuff for the Space and Air Defence Forces has the problem that this company will also be working in areas other companies are already working...
The Space and Air Defence forces are a combination of the VKO or space defence forces (operating space observation radar and EO systems, and satellites) and PVO or Air Defence Forces (operating ground fixed and mobile radars, SAMs, and interceptor aircraft)
The point is that the SAMs for the VKKO are the S-300V4 and are currently being made by Almaz-Antey, and its Mig-31 interceptors are already being made/supported by UAC MIG.
The problem as you might have noticed becomes no one company can provide everything for a "force" without duplication... having one Almaz-Antey making SAMs for the Army and a different company making SAMs for the VKKO, and the Navy would result in unncessary duplication.
The United aircraft corporation don't make guided air to ground or air to air missiles, while the united shipping corporation don't make naval SAMs.
The idea of a dedicated company to produce products specifically for the VKKO is OK as long as there is no duplication. Almaz-Antey can continue to design and make new missiles for VKKO SAMs and VKKO interceptor aircraft.
As long as the idea is to bring together the design bureaus and factories that make products for the VKKO without duplicating products from other companies I think it is fine.
Any Mig-31 replacement for example could be based on a UAC aircraft rather than the new company with no experience in aircraft design trying to come up with one.
It would be good if they set it up like the TsAGI testing facilities where all the different design bureaus had their own small scale facilities but by also having a centralised test facility it could be much bigger and better than any one group could afford that was available to the richest design bureau to the poorest.
Even with the separate companies (ie Ship, aircraft, guided missile, and now space and air defence) they should ensure cooperation and standardisation where ever practical. So radars and EO systems on all sorts of different platforms from space to underwater and everywhere in between could be standardised and compatible.

Moscow believes that the greatest potential threat Russia may be facing in the next decade is the U.S.-backed European missile shield being created near its borders.
Russia and NATO agreed to cooperate on the so-called Euro missile shield during the Russia-NATO Council summit in Lisbon in November 2010. NATO insists there should be two independent systems that exchange information, while Russia favors a joint system with full-scale interoperability.
Talks with the NATO on the subject have reached a deadlock over Moscow’s concerns that the deployment of U.S. missile defense systems in Europe would be a security threat.
Russia says it would be logical and efficient to create a network of "sector" defenses where each member state or group of states would assume responsibility for intercepting and destroying ballistic missiles over assigned territory.
Rogozin said on Friday that Russia still hoped to continue joint missile defense dialogue with NATO.
“We understand perfectly well that if our opponents had political goodwill and simply common sense, we could have joined our efforts in creating a multilayered, advanced and reliable aerospace defense network protecting the whole European continent,” he said.

Moscow thinks US ABM system in Europe is the greatest threat to Russias security.
The US claims the ABM system in Europe is not directed at Russia (though it refuses to put that down on paper as such) and doesn't understand what Russia is so upset about.

And it should ease the production bottleneck.
The main dilemma of course is that for the next 2 decades that production of new weapons will greatly expand both for domestic use and export, but if you build too much production capacity the orders get filled quicker but in 10-20 years you might find you have too much production capacity.
I think creating an Aerospace "company" would be a sensible move to coordinate new material for the new Aerospace defence forces.
Not only that but I think the various companies should be encouraged to cooperate in areas where there are common interests.
Obviously you don't want this new Aerospace company to try to duplicate the work done at Antei Almaz for instance.
The companies that make radars for satellites and for aircraft and land based radars could cooperate with the makers of radar for ships and subs... by combining the work you get a larger pool of funds to develop technology with, and any breakthroughs can be rather more widely deployed to greater effect.
With the move to AESA technology and the investment already put in, it means AESA arrays will start popping up all over the place and share common components which should help to drive down costs and increase the rate of development.
As with the Army with their new families of vehicles, with engine families, they could take it further and have a scaled radar family and missile families and EO families and propulsion families at sea and in the air, as well as on land.

previously concluded and performed the national contracts for the supply of air defense missile systems S-400 , equipment for command posts PAC systems, PRN and defense and maintenance necessary facilities and means of these systems in 2012, Concern were concluded public contracts for the supply of air defense missile systems S-300V4 and navigation equipment Consumer GLONASS system for the Russian Defense Ministry and other government customers.
Concern as the main executor of the state defense order in the GOZ-2012 has supplied products and the volume of work performed in 25.6 times more than in 2011.
· Implementation of export orders for defense products
