Full of mine hits, tank intact (except for right chain) and crew survived quite well.

I never realised how fast Ukrainian tank crews can run... Shocked

Maybe its the drugs they take? Or is just fear?? dunno  This bears ill for Russias plans to route the goblin horde and run them down in pursuit, given the gobbos will likely outpace them...

Minor comment on the vid.  They should play the theme song of the Benny Hill Show when the crew abandons their vehicle...  Razz

The tank ran over a land mine... you can actually see it on the road in front of the track at the bottom of the screen... a light coloured dot before a gray patch of road (You can see it clearly at 6 seconds into the video).

As the tank drives back after the explosion you can see the lower track rolling out onto the road behind the vehicle, so in War Thunder a 10 second repair of the track, but in the real world abandon tank and let the engineers recover and repair it later.

That would have happened to any and all tanks and is not special to the T-80.

This is the same company which makes the GTD-1250 gas turbine engine for the T-80.
They got funded by the IDF to modernize their production faclities.

Thanks to FRP, KADVI increased the production of gas turbine power plants that have no analogues in Russia by 5 times
    04 October 2024

Kaluga Engine (KADVI) has increased the production of modular gas turbine power plants with a nominal capacity of 100 kW, which have no analogues in Russia, by 5.6 times – up to 28 units per year. In addition, the company has launched pilot production of new gas turbine power plants with a nominal capacity of 800 kW.

Investments in production modernization amounted to 537 million rubles, of which 412 million rubles were provided by the federal Industrial Development Fund (IDF) in the form of a preferential loan under the flagship program “ Development Projects ”.

The AG100ST400 gas turbine power plant with a rated capacity of 100 kW runs on natural gas and is designed for use in harsh climatic conditions - at ambient temperatures from -60°C to +45°C. Such power plants are mainly used in oil and gas production and power supply of remote sites in the Far North, as well as in power supply of construction sites, agricultural enterprises, cellular communication facilities in areas that do not have access to the Unified Energy System of Russia.

At present, foreign companies producing microturbine units and modular power plants based on them have left the Russian market. Domestic companies have not yet mastered the serial production of such power plants - demonstration samples and prototypes have been created.

"Supplies of engine units for microturbine plants from manufacturers in Europe, the USA and Japan are currently under embargo. At the same time, according to our estimates, in the coming years it will be necessary to replace units that have exhausted their service life at operating power plants - the market demand is from 30 to 40 power plants subject to modernization annually. In addition, microturbine power plants with a capacity of 100 to 800 kW can be used as a drive for other rotating mechanisms used in the chemical, oil and gas, mining, metallurgy and other industries ," said Evgeny Galynsky, General Director of PJSC Kaluga Engine .

The main buyers of power plants with a capacity of 100, 200 and 800 kW are Russian oil and gas producing and oilfield service companies. Pilot industrial tests of the power plant equipment were carried out at fields owned by Lukoil-Perm, Rusvietpetro and Novatek. The company plans to occupy up to 60% of the Russian market for microturbine power plants by 2025.

The main element of the power plant is an electric unit with a gas turbine engine, which is also produced at KADVI. The advantages of the in-house developed engine include the ability to use different types of fuel (diesel, kerosene, liquefied gas, as well as natural and associated gas) and change the type of fuel without stopping the power plant; fast (about 60 seconds) and reliable start-up in harsh climatic conditions without preliminary heating; low consumption of lubricating oils and no coolant; increased service interval.

Localization is 100%. All raw materials, materials and components used are domestic.
