Report of the Chinese TV channel CCTV7 on the flights of Mi-17V-7 helicopters of the PLA army aviation produced by the Ulan-Ude aviation plant in Tibet. Earlier in the annual report of the State Corporation Rostec for 2019, it was reported that during 2019 JSC Russian Helicopters signed contracts for the supply of the following Russian-made helicopters to China: 68 Mi-171 helicopters (including the modernized Mi -171E), 18 Mi-171Sh helicopters (military transport), 14 Mi-171 helicopters with a VK-2500 engine (all manufactured at the Ulan-Ude aircraft plant), and 21 Ansat helicopters (manufactured at the Kazan helicopter plant).

If it ain't nailed down in Ukraine its for sale.

Ironically the Ukraine has a huge fleet of Il-76s but it was never produced there so they can't support or upgrade them easily, so selling them to China is a no brainer.

Their problem is when they start falling from the sky... what do they replace them with?

Chinese media is reporting that China has already bought Ka-52 helicopters from Russia to be used on their 075 LHD.

Good choice for use on ships... no swinging tail rotor...
