Saudis lost some more armor vehicles. I wonder how long could Saudis fight in such way, before they lost all armor they have? There is a good question, which army is more incompetent, Ukrainian army or Saudi army.

Re: Yemeni Conflict: News
Well the Ukrainian army at least tries to fight - the Saudis seem to abandon their vehicles before the Houthis even get to them.
However, the Ukrainians are worse equipped and many of their vehicles are just junk.
So it's an even tie really.

Well.. yes, however they would be useless after they spend onboard ammunition since they cant produce or obtain 120mm shells, and in case of Abrams when engine stalls its kinda end of the story coz they cant do anything with turbine engine, even US often ships them back to US to maintenance.

Let's not exagerate. The Ukes had good enough equipment for the task. The KSA has qualitatively superior ISO 9012 equipment, but they use it as it was trash. Ukes with the same stock would probably have been oblitarated the same (given their own misfortunes with similar equipment - Kraz Cougar and BTR-3/4). The difference is the opponent.

Jemenis capture quite a lot of Abrams tanks, unfortunately they could not operate them and just blow them up.

Sounds like its going exactly to plan. Generates new replacement tank sales (plus profits) for General Dynamics, pat on back for local Congressman for jobs at the plant either for new production or refurb/upgrade of old US Army gear.medo wrote:Militarov wrote:

That is a massive base. Lots of primary security, three at least lines of razor wired fencing, but not a lot of visible security inside. Anyone any idea of its location and/or function?Book. wrote:شاهد| إقتحام الجيش اليمني واللجان الشعبية معسكر الحثيرة السعودي بجيزان والسيطرة عليه

Actually this is an incursion into al-huthaira village probably used as base by the saudis, the fence is the border fence.

That is weird actually, ISIS did operate Abrams M1A1 from Iraq, not in combat tho but they did try to allocate those captured i am not sure what is stopping them from driving them away from battlefield and use them at least with onboard ammunition, i mean anyone who served in any tank bult post 1975. is able to figure out how at least basic equipment in Abrams works.

ISIS is trained by the West, Houtis are not.

Its quite unlikely that any of them got trained on M1A1s or something similar. Anyone who is familiar with tank or even certain heavy civilian machinery will be able to deal with tank on at least basic lvl of driving it away from capture zone.

Re: Yemeni Conflict: News
Those captured abrams hurt my eyes...why the fuck they deployed it without support.
Anyway i wonder if Russia can take chance and snap one.. They're M1A2, the best US can offer for export.
As for me.. well i'd be happy to travel alongside those Houthi rebels with my retractable rules.. and measure the Abram's turret thickness.
