Re: A little bit of artworks
Thanks for the advice Victor, but this book was an art book with mostly large pictures painted of futuristic scenes and alien spaceships and aliens and the like.
If anyone does stumble upon such a book please PM me, but I think I have distracted from the theme of this thread enough...

Thanks for that list, lots of good Sci Fi there... the first entry is I think the book that Stalker games are based upon.
Also nice artwork there too... I like the progression of basic clothing to armour...

Marvel Comics announced most American Avengers comic book ever. Only problem is that those "American'' aircraft in the background look a lot like one we are very familiar with around here...
And that tank has some familiar details as as well.

Re: A little bit of artworks
@GarryB
I used art to recover from illness and stress . I think for soldiers with limited means , that art and craft provides a valuable means of helping recovery from physical and mental injury . I started painting landscapes in oil . My faviourite landscape painter is shishkin . I think he is Russian . I also learnt how to make ceramic objects . It took me ten years . But now I am competent . And healthy . There is book for novice artists and craftsman . On limited budget . It is called : ART AND CRAFT BOOK CATALOUGUE . By search press . Try www.searchpress.com . Activity for both men and women .

Re: A little bit of artworks
I am glad you found something to help you in a difficult time.
I personally would like to learn to carve wood.
A friend of mine has a 303 bolt action rifle from WWII that had the stock carved... I think it looks fantastic and makes a clone rifle that otherwise looks like millions of others, into something special and personal.
Unfortunately I have no talent in that area... I am looking at local schools with woodwork departments for night classes in the basics of woodwork and carving to get me on a path where I can do something myself.
Actually after looking at the link you gave I looked up a local book seller and there were a variety of books for beginners on the subject... I might try a few.

@GaryB
Glad I could help . Yes I was a good shot with the 303 enfield as an air cadet . I was a fair shot with 22 browning pistol . I have always liked firearms . Especially antique shotguns . They have beautiful engravings and carvings . But for soldiers , war art may infact be counterproductive . They need to distract from intrusive thoughts . Related to war . So the subject matter should be non war related .
