Re: Poland - US military relations:
The US is normally very generous with military financial aide simply because they can write it off as charity to said country when in fact the funds are locked in to only being allowed to be used on US military products, so rather than military aide to Poland, it is actually military funding to the US MIC and military forces where they can get rid of old stock or sell specific equipment to "allies" in a sort of forward location of American kit, where if something really kicks off they are basically forward deployed US equipped cannon fodder to distract the enemy for a bit...

More recycled Amerikanski trash. Uncle Sham sells his refurbished 1980 era tanks to fund next generation tank development.
Poland also seems to be trying to beat India into getting the most dysfunctional tank park in the world.

Silence, you disbeliever!
We already did!
Our brave tank eagles operate 6 different tank types at the moment, hardly compatible
This one would make 7th.

Re: Poland - US military relations:
You should have just done like the Turks and license production of the K2 Black Panther tank from South Korea.
When you are getting 500 tanks (between the M1 and the Leopard 2) it is pretty dumb not to use this opportunity to beef up the local industry.
That is about the same amount of tanks as the total number of T-90 tanks active in the Russian Federation.

Re: Poland - US military relations:
A vanilla T-72A of Polish origin, to begin with. We call them M and M1 versions.
Those are still in line.
Later, we took some 230+ PT-91 tanks, made locally again.
Next was Leopard 2A4.
Followed by Leopard 2A5.
We have started to reconstruct our vanilla T-72Ms into T-72M1 mod. 2019.
And last but not least, all our Leo2A4 are supposed to be upgraded to Leo2PL standard.
Catching up with versions ?
All of them have hardly anything in common.
But now we are going to introduce a M1.
A tank zoo is humble opinion
Our mighty superpower operates more tanks, than Germany, France and UK combined.
Moscow is ours already, they only didn't notice that!

At least in the summer. Leos don´t like cold weather and the M1 works best indoor.

It is a bribe.
Nothing more, nothing less.
When the rusty hair monkey was in charge there, they had no problem with calling that loud&open.
Now they still take all the bribes the vassals can handle but in quiet.

Ukraine's 2k tanks barely lasted for a month. The 250 Abraps would be but a speed bump.

Which is funny because tank crews only get real good at their jobs if they are given plenty of fuel to train with. Simulators won't cut it.GarryB wrote:Well unless they keep them locked away their fuel bill is going to skyrocket....
