For some reason Sputnik decided to make a bunch of non-news-worthy articles based on Zvezda T-50 documentary from a while back. Zvezda on the other hand decided to air some of the clips "stand alone" like the stalling demonstration and suit/helmet systems etc. The stall footage was originally aired over 2 years ago;

T-50-1 - on strain measurement of the frame.
T-50-2 - replaced the right engine.
T-50-4 - a new version of firmware KSU.(KSU = ~flight dynamics)
Changed schedule for the T-50-6-2: Transfer to LIS - 09/07/2015, where it (after working systems) will be applied RAM, then the frequency of tests after 29.11. - The first (and only on KnAAZ) flight and transportation to "Ruslan" in Zhukovsky, where acceptance tests are completed before 30/12/2015.
Only one flight at KnAAZ then it is being shipped to zhuk by An-124.

Anything new on N036 Radar news ?
I wonder how much power its TR module can pump out. The earlier Zhuk AE AESA was around 5 watt/module for average power (thus 10 watt peak assuming 50% duty cycle) The Zhuk however was made by NIIP Phazotron. While N036 is made by NIIP Thikomirov.

Someone on keypublish forums stated that the newer AESA modules of GaAS design are around 10W to higher peak and the current GaN's being developed are around 30W or more each. There seems to be very little news regarding the tech behind the the N036 probably for good reason, but I think it was tested with newer GaAS modules of even higher peak but it may not be the norm for it. Istok I think may be creater of the modules but I think there may be more than one developer of T/R modules in Russia. User who posts the info is Jō Asakura.

So according to Jo, the ones tested in 2012 are around 15W peak.

Hey Berkut, it totally slipped my mind. This is from MAKS 2013 about a new RAM:
The inlet casing and guide vanes, as well as the spinner of the 117S, are coated with a new radar-absorbent material developed by the Russian Academy of Sciences, the UEC engineer tells Aviation Week.

1.500 x 10 W = 15 kW - solid
1.500 x 15 W = 22,5 kW - very good
1.500 x 30 W = 45 kW - superior!!!
I hope they will end up with the 30 W GaN Module!

did you know that some electric conductors become electric when stimulated by photons? that mean that they are absorbing photons? that means they are fit as a radar absorbant material?
and why not use that photons to create electric energy? i mean exacly enemy radar beam can be used?

can in a nose of a aircraft be used multiple small radars put in all angles to cover all front space? or this affect the strenght of signal of a single antenna? can one of the bay of weapons be converted to a radar nose?

personally i feel this will not work... if i'm going the way you propose then is all end. one day i'll will loose the link with this forum. and that day all is end. you know well that my atraction to this forum is based on a mania. well...name it a positive mania...but still a mania. in the way you say all will end. because you know deep inside me i'm against any form of dictatorship mania. and i believe in free will.
so ...give me that schematics? or at least some explanations of the circuit? maibe some paint explanations?

What about it? It is unlikely the RAM applied to the engine and intakes will share much with frame applied RAM tbh. T-50-4 returned back to Zhuk again after being there for three weeks or so;

Actually it is quite possible that the entire frame may not get the same RAM treatment because the entire frame will probably not be made of the same material. Just a thought.

I expect it to be largely homogeneous to be honest. That is the case with F-22, F-35, B-2 and F-117 as far as i know. There might be particular "hotspots" where RAM is applied extra generously but overall it is applied to a primer afteral. RAM doesn't care what material is underneath the primer (yes, it does matter for RCS of course, but not for RAM itself) as long as it sticks to the primer.
T-50 doing shenanigans again! Lets pray to baby Jebus the weather will be nice this year.
