Who is reporting that? I`ve seen videos from 2013 to prove Syrian armor losses from todays operation near Hama.
From video i posted , it`s clear Syrian army has an operational control on battle field. I think people expected it was going to be a walk through rebel positions....
17 is what the Rats are claiming....apparently, the figure is 6 destroyed tanks + 1 captured tank. The pro-gov. sources are claiming the capture of several smaller settlements and they do admit heavy resistance.....we;ll have to wait for daylight in Syria for more clarity

http://www.almasdarnews.com/article/syrian-army-captures-40km-of-territory-in-northern-hama/ -- Good article, claims 33 soldiers killed and 9 tanks and BMPs lost.
Reports of #SAA/#NDF have taken 4 towns west of #Morek: Latmin, Lahaya, Mar'kabah & Khirbat Masasinah.
#Syria - #Syrian army (#SAA) captured Latmeen & Maarkaba in the northern countryside of #Hama during the ongoing operations. about 70km of territory captured..
BUt if the casualties 33 soldiers are right.. then had to be a really costly war.. No idea why Russian Airforce stop the bullshit of not hitting mosques or civilians zones.. you can't expect civilians to be in the front line.. then they are not civilians at all.. Highly debatable the political correctness of Russia. In war is expected that civilian casualties will happen.. if Russia airforce does not plans for a year fight ,then they should start seriously thinking bombing any place civilian or not ,from where the terrorist show their faces.. In any case the progress is substantial.. taking into account the battle began less than 24 hours ago?
about tank "lost" take that with huge grain of salt.. for the average amateur journalist.. if a tank is hit by a rocket grenade or anti tank missile is counted automatically as a "lost". But reality is different .. usually people inside survive and the tank can be repaired withing few hours .. this is according to Tank operators of Syrian Army.
Btw.. the video posted earlier of "tank loses in Hama" in "one day" i stopped watching it at the start. as soon saw an old video of 2013 or 2014. reused in the propaganda montage. take with big skepticism always any Terrorist Uploaded videos.
Btw..the Syrian army liberated ~4 towns that had years under terrorist control and is close to encircle another 3 major towns ,so this major blow to the terrorist should not be underestimated in the morale of the terrorist.. they will be cut and isolated in a cauldron withing the next 24 -48 hours if the progress continues. and possibly captured too.
In more news.. major battles in Deir Ez Zor, .
If not mistaken one major general of syrian army in on the video ,leading the defense. Terrorist trying last attempts to capture the airport but failed again.. that Airport is important.. Russia plans once the siege lifted ,to secure the airport ,repair it and re-use it to launch attacks from there to ISIS and Alqaeda. it will save time and allow Russia to spread their Airforce and from there attack Raqqa ,western Syria or even do bombings in IRAQ.

No doubt they've had pretty heavy losses since their own media is confirming it....but the sector of the front they're attacking is said to be one of the heaviest fortified in the country, so I would expect it to be a difficult fight.
Video in wich FSA claims destroying Kornet team by their TOW. I do not understand this however, SAA soldiers just walking there, relaxed like its not war...
"Suqour al Ghab fighter/commander says he received new TOW launcher today" - Apparently via Turkey by comments there by other "rebels" and "activists".

Ahrar al Sham released pamflete of a kind with "official loses" of SAA from yesterdays operations.
What's the point of posting wahabi propaganda?! If we want to read their propaganda we could just read the mess and their wahabi sympathizers.
You are free to post information you obtained from your personal insider directly from SAA HQ you know, noone will stop you. Till then we shall share info that we do have, since SAA officials are silent this is the best we have to use to crossreference with videos that we have and some reports from the field that we have. Its called intelligence gathering. Over 50% of info we posted on this forum regarding Syria came from non Russian sources, if you are trying to claim how everything FSA releases is false i suggest you to stop using forums as platform in general.
If you dont like what i post block me and get over it. I said it already 20 times i am sick of repeating.
Insurgents shot down a helicopter in Syria's Hama province on Thursday, a monitoring group said, as Russia continued air support for Syrian government forces fighting on the ground.
The helicopter was downed near the village of Kafr Nabouda in northern Hama, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. It was unclear if the aircraft was Syrian or Russian.

How can they release "official figures".. Neutralizing terrorist pockets inside Syrian Govt will require modern & precise weaponry be it armour or artillery and an effective recce from the air with drones. Most of the videos that we saw earlier could have been neutralised with the help of a drone recce and directing fire to the area.
Seriously wondering why SAA had to sacrifice so much in that offensive. On a positive note....probably the initial high losses (if we may say so) might help the Russian advisers to help SAA to charter a better course of action for its coming offensives.
