These works of modernization and upgrading inspection have been carried out since 2011 through contracts with the company Airbus Helicopters and Turbomeca-Ceknol under the supervision of the Directorate of Procurement Logistics Air Command, by Col. . José Lareo and Tcnel. Freddy White, chief of the contract by the team that performed an impressive job in monitoring the work consisting in the total dismantling of the components of the aircraft in order to perform a detailed review of its structure, ensuring life this system for 12 years, in order to meet special search and rescue, firefighting and medical evacuations.
The assembly of these helicopters will be held in the hangar No. 1 of the Maintenance and Development Aeronautical, which has highly trained human resources to fulfill this mission, demonstrating the spirit of work under strengthening the defensive power and sovereignty from the country.
