Re: Syrian Civil War: News #3
"IRGC announced today that eight Iranian servicemen were killed in the past 24 hours in Syria. Fars News Agency quoted Ramezan Sharif, a spokesman for the IRGC, as saying that IRGC members Abdollah Bagheri and Amin Karimi and six other unnamed servicemen were killed in Syria yesterday and today, without giving their ranks. Reports in social media had indicated that actually 15 IRGC serviceman were killed near Aleppo, but IRGC spokesman denied those reports, saying only eight were killed.
Abdollah Bagheri, 33, one of the IRGC servicemen killed in action, was identified as the former bodyguard of former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The photos in social media show Ahmadinejad at the late Bagheri’s house saying condolences to his family. Iran was reported to have deployed some 2,000 IRGC Ground Force troops to Syria after the start of the Russian involvement in the country’s civil war on 30 September. They have joined hundreds of Quds Force advisers and specialists already in Syria. The introduction of ground troops into the conflict has changed Iran’s strategy of maintaining a small footprint of advisers to a limited deployment of ground forces directly involved in the conflict. 15 servicemen killed in action, or eight as IRGC says, is the largest number of Iranian casualties in a 24-hour period in more than 4 years of conflict in Syria."

SAA is not an army at this point. They are on same level as those "rebels" if not worse. It is like Ukraine, they forgot about army and now they have consequences. Simple as that. Any gains even tiny ones are good as they were loosing territory before. Islamists are not the strongest enemy too, push them hard and they will break.

The SAA/militia ground operation is not directly assisted by Russian air forces. If Russia was acting like their air force
the ground campaign would progress much faster. Russia should stop with the self-limitation. It should crank up the
number of aircraft and the number of sorties including those called by imbedded special forces. A half-assed approach
only leads to problems and failure.
Nobody is going to give Russia any credit for this timid approach. They will spew hate propaganda against it
regardless of what it does.

Re: Syrian Civil War: News #3
I think this is important news.. read..
55 US lawmakers requesting Obama a change in policy in Syria.. to end it. Their document
even though use public relations language.. blaming Russia and Assad for all.. but their conclusion of what needs to be done is to stop the war and make peace. Public Opinion is really important. .never underestimate it.. it was public opinion what ended the Vietnam War ,the Korean War ,and what made UK government to refuse to allow Cameron to go to war against
Syria after the chemical weapons attack. IT was also public opinion what provoke Egypt to remove 2 dictators from power peacefully..and same with Crimea ,Public Opinion allowed Russia to take Crimea without firing a shot... Take that number to 200 or 300 US lawmakers and it will be impossible for any President to continue any proxy war in Syria without risk of being impeached . is a good sign. of major changes of public opinion of happening in US congress .
Rebuffing Peace Chances in Syria - October 23, 2015
Exclusive: Official Washington’s neocon-dominated “group think” on Syria is that everything is the fault of President Assad and Russian President Putin, but the actual history shows many missed opportunities for peace because of the U.S. obsession with dictating “regime change” in country after country, as Jonathan Marshall explains.
By Jonathan Marshall
https://consortiumnews.com/2015/10/23/rebuffing-peace-chances-in-syria/
Seeking to disrupt the lethal cycle of foreign intervention and military escalation in Syria, a group of 55 House Democrats recently sent a letter to President Barack Obama, calling for a change in U.S. policy.
“[I]t is time to devote ourselves to a negotiated peace, and work with allies, including surrounding Arab states that have a vested interest in the security and stability of the region,” they wrote. “Convening international negotiations to end the Syria conflict would be in the best interests of U.S. and global security, and is also, more importantly, a moral imperative.”

As if anyone in their right minds would believe that the US was dropping ammo and weapons for the "good guys".
I bet it was a drop to help bolster stocks for the regime change mercenaries, that the Russian air strikes had destroyed.

You can go and kick yourself with your anti Russian propaganda.
Syria is under attack by a very powerful coalition of US ,UK-France -Turkey-Israel-Jordan and Gulf Allies. Thousands of NATO forces are fighting in the side of the terrorist and they provided with all kind of weapons imbecile. From chemical warfare and drones and even now have NATO Airforces providing logistics from the air ,communications and dropping munitions ,food and supplies to them.. Just recently an Israeli Colonel was captured in IRAQ ,according to IRaquis sources that was leading the fight of ISIS. There are pentagon generals in the ground leading the terrorist.. israeli too.. And according to Syrian sources Turkey army invaded Syria with the take over of IDlib. Is a small scale world war what Syria is facing ,lead by USA. The Syrian army have been fighting alone in the ground for 4 years with a small help of hezbolah that do not have a big army ,just few thousands soldiers and Iran is not even sending lots of soldiers , just a small force of couple of thousands soldiers with light weapons ,and only because now Russia is helping.
Again is not a war against jihadist with light guns , this is instead a world war what Syria
is facing. With Terrorist from 80 nations. from 100,000 to 150,000 is estimated their force
since the start of the conflict. ISIS alone Russia own numbers say is about 75,000 fighters.
And Russia Bombing campaign is not even targeting jihadist directly.. but Munitions warehouses, Command Centers and their leaders. But also providing support to Syrian Army when they do an offensive. If you can name a single nation imbecile which its army can face a NATO major powers and Gulf coalition invasion with hundreds of thousands of terrorist army and not lose 15 soldiers in an attack..then be my guest . But until that you can shut the fuck off imbecile with your anti Russian propaganda.

US policy coherence in action.
PKK are considered terrorists by the US...
PYD, PKK and PJAK are all allies, part of the KCK.
Their respective military wings (YPG, HPG, YRK) SHARE THE SAME LOGISTICS and to a certain extent, command structures.
THIS IS FUCKING PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE EVEN WIKIPEDIA IS UP TO DATE ON.
Let's give them tons and tons of ammo I'm sure none of that is gonna be used against Turkey...

EXCLUSIVE: Israeli Colonel Leading ISIL Terrorists Captured in Iraq
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iraqi security and popular forces have caught an ISRAELI COLONEL FROM GOLANI BRIGADE along with a number of ISIL terrorists, a commander disclosed on Thursday.
Noting that he was arrested along with a number of ISIL terrorists, the commander said, "The Israeli colonel's name is Yusi Oulen Shahak and is ranked colonel in Golani Brigade of the Zionist regime's army with the security and military code of Re34356578765az231434."
The Iraqi security forces said the CAPTURED COLONEL HAS ALREADY MADE SHOCKING CONFESSIONS.
Several ISIL militants arrested in the last one year had already confessed that Israeli agents from Mossad and other Israeli espionage and intelligence bodies were present in the first wave of ISIL attacks on Iraq and capture of Mosul in Summer 2014, but no ranking Israeli agent had been arrested.

Iran attacking Syria rebels with explosive drones
BEIRUT – Iran has attacked rebels in northwest Syria with explosive-laden unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that fly into their targets, according to rebels.
A commander in the Islamist Ahrar al-Sham group told Al-Souria Net that “kamikaze drones thought to be [of] Iranian [origin] were used [on Monday to strike] Syrian opposition military bases in rural Idlib, causing extensive material damage at the targeted location.”
“Five aircrafts loaded with explosives targeted an Ahrar al-Sham base in the town of Ma'ar Shimmareen [near] Idlib province’s Ma’aret Nuaman,” Hassan Abu Hamid claimed.
“The destructive force of the plane was equal to the destructive force of an 82 mm mortar round, but had a higher fragmentation rate,” he explained.
Abu Hamid noted that the UAVs usually record footage of the target area and strike when it has been identified.
“It is difficult to see [these] planes because their low noise and small size, which makes the chances of shooting them [down] very slim.”

Looks far to accurate to be a helicopter. That looks like S-8 rocket engagement and the grouping is just on a sniping level. If that was carried out by air it was most probably Su-25.

That is a big problem for the US if they were to adopt the plan you describe, the uncertainty, which would probably that the 'management' in ISIS, whoever they are, would think twice about it.
