Second of all russian airstrikes are doing no good, all we keep hearing is how ISIS is falling apart etc. This war can't be won anymore, it could of been won 2 years ago, now these airstrikes are to no use. The SAA basically dont exist.

Confirmed: Banis was taken by AQ and friends.

notice smoke shells dropped by insurgent artillery (01.54)
and the tank's (semi-functioning?) smoke generator covers the BMP

The SAA allies once again flee. No trenches, no proper defence, lack of ATGMs and RPGs. It looks like they got outflanked, as some trenches are built but not from the direction the tank assaulted them.

There were literally less than ten guys in that hamlet. Unless you drop Alpha, Seals, SAS, OMFGBBQ operators, they had less chance to defend that hamlet, than I to score Miss Universe tonight.
Once again the rolling tincans pull the same idiotic shit, and this time they get stuck in soft ground. It's sad that the guys don't have the cojones to stand as the actual VisCon for the tank isn't the primary sight, but the drone.

Also very poor tactical situation of that tank, it stops behind the firt housing block while not knowing what's behind it. That was asking for a shot in the face. Alas, the militias were too busy trying to haul ass. Once again, the guys want to GTFO but fail to understand that overwatch will have them spotted and the T-72 mow then down in the open. FFS, this is beyond sadness.

I guess the village already looks deserted, it may have been under evacuation.
My explanation for this is that SAA/Shia are outnumbered and can't support that front.

They may indeed have less MBTs, IFVs, and infantry compared to insurgents. The Russian bombing campaign is not going to work without competent and firm boots on the ground. It doesn't work so far as to gain significant ground. SAA lost Mahin (or rather abandoned it), lost Morek last month and now this.

Sure they did expand to and around Kuweiris, gained Hadher area, stopped Al Ghab offensive and countered in Latakia. But overall so far it's "meh". And that is not to underestimate their efforts, but it seems the "other side" can simply pour more bodies and kit in the fight, faster and better-trained/motivated. And despite lacking any air support they can still pull off successful counter offensives.

Concerning trench wars of infantry vs T-72s, well Iranians and friends should know better.

^^ if their force can't operate to that level, they might as well go home.

According to her, the meeting was attended by defense Minister of Iraq, Deputy chief of the General staff and representatives of special services. "Foreign troops number 100 thousand to 90 thousand from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Jordan and 10 thousand troops from the U.S. - will be hosted in Western regions of Iraq," she said. According to al-Fatlawi, "the Prime Minister of Iraq openly expressed his surprise at the statements of McCain, however, he was told that everything is already decided".

"In response, the office of the Premier welcomed foreign aid to Baghdad in its fight against ISIS, but noted that its agreement to the deployment of special forces in Iraq should give the government first," said al-Fatlawi. Your message she was accompanied by the headline: "McCain said al-Abadi that the introduction of 90 thousand troops from Gulf States to Iraq – finally resolved the issue."

This was quite patethic. Give me one company made of common conscripts that served in any "special purpose" unit in Serbian army last 10 years id be able to defend this position till Jesus comes back to Earth to do his Doomsday thingie.

No roadblocks, no anti tank trenches, no mines, no fortifications, no spotters, no improvised highgrounds, no observation posts... I know they are few in numbers here, but its not like they did anything to improve their chances whatsoever.

We will have to wait and see if it is accurate or not.  But this will cause further strain on Iraq.  We may see a period where Iraq will force US to leave.

The Shia population will be irate.

Add to that, the article is of course only on Iraq, not syria. But we all know they will use them in Syria.  Hopefully they will be bombed.

Syrian Air Force Crushes 1300 Terrorist Targets in Last 2 Weeks

According to a military spokesman, the Syrian Air Force has carried out 364 sorties in the last two weeks, striking 1,300 terrorist targets across four provinces.

According to air force spokesman Brigadier General Ali Mayhoub, the Syrian Arab Air Force has destroyed three terrorist command posts operated by Daesh, also known as ISIL/the Islamic State, in areas around Aleppo and Palmyra. Strikes also targeted three columns of vehicles in Homs province, which took out a number of militants and weapons caches.

Weapons depots and logistics facilities were also destroyed.

These strikes occurred between November 27 and December 10, and "led to the destruction of terrorist gangs, fortifications and command posts," Mayhoub said during a briefing, according to RIA Novosti.

On Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that its bombers had also carried out 82 sorties in a 24-hour period.

"In the last 24 hours, Russian jets conducted 82 sorties against 204 terrorist targets in Syria, located in the provinces of Aleppo, Idlib, Latakia, Hama, and Homs," ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said, according to RIA Novosit. "Futhermore, 32 of the sorties were conducted at night."

Russia has conducted an aerial campaign alongside the Syrian government since September 30, as part of a joint effort to combat Daesh.

notice smoke shells dropped by insurgent artillery (01.54)
and the tank's (semi-functioning?) smoke generator covers the BMP

With a company sized force with basic skills, that assault becomes and ambush.

The tactical situation of the village is good and the idiots with the tank do again their stupid shit, Nota bene, this is a new tank and they don't use the cannon even at range...no ammo.
