Let's face it, we're going to miss these motherf*ckers when the war will die down.

If the KSA leaves the historic center standing. These idiots dropped 2,000 lb bombs on the pre-islamic buildings in Sanaa.

True, but the #KhatSquad is worth the trip. Especially with my new Iranian Border stamp on the Passport.

Sanaa is a UNESCO world heritage site (up there with the likes of the Pyramids of Giza). The total silence of the 'world community' over the destruction by the Saudis is yet another example its moral degeneracy.

So let me get this straight, KSA & friends invades and pushes back Houthis, then in comes IS advancing (magically) through the coast all the way to Aden? They are not even trying to hide their agenda anymore...
They basically expanded IS with their intervention.

It would have been better of China got involved directly in Syrian....but even if not, support in UN and financial aid would be good enough.

Russia needs to expand the area of operation to include the Yemeni theatre before it is too late, but for that we need Kuznetsov with a strike group and a backup (2nd front) in the form of a forward operating base in Iran to cater for Saudi co.KiloGolf wrote:So let me get this straight, KSA & friends invades and pushes back Houthis, then in comes IS advancing (magically) through the coast all the way to Aden? "SA-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" is not even my words but a direct quote from Xinhua agency.
We both know on which side of Yemen war China is , they make it perfectly clear - Hadi puppet gov.
Regarding Syria: they are business-like oriented people,so they will not be doing anything that could severe ties with important business partner like SA, that's bad for business and would hurt future contracts.
But new Chinese toys given by SA to rebelrorrist hands, yeah that's more likely.

Those PLZ's date back from 2007, last unit delivered in 2010.
The CH4 is the hottest sale for the moment for whoever has the cash to buy. Nothing to do against Houthis. The Chinese have had a no holds barred policy. Hence the mass of Type 85 HMG's, Type 87 GL's and the few HJ-8's in Syria (plus the ammo and small arms). In the mean time they delivered in due time the CH4's to Iraq and have been very helpful against ISIS.

Tune in on youtube next week. If we see the #jesuisflipflop crew chewing their stuff over a dongfeng or ghauri, chances are it is.
Although there's more chance they'd be converted to big, fat, external AC units.

Noone said anything about Houthis, Chinese vocal support for Hadi (as recent as January trip of Xi Jinping to Riyadh) just have everything to do with pleasing their important business partner Saudi Arabia. Saudis have money , Houthis don't.
And making coupla additional bucks from this conflict isn't really bad for China.
But it isn't what i would call constructive stance on the Yemen issue.
Russia at least demanded stopping the Saudi airstrikes, China does not, for obvious reasons.

Hadi is still the UN-recognized guy.
Just like Assad is the UN-face.
China has a UN-face policy, you can't start a piss on their flakes for something Russia is doing as well.

That's actually false . Russia didn't officially pick a side in Yemen conflict, but still have active official embassy in Saleh-Houthi controlled Sanaa (not really pro "UN" farce move ) doesn't openly support Hadi puppet, demanded cessation of Saudi airstrikes whereas China does not mantain any relationships with Sanaa government , closed their embassy in Sanaa like many other pro Saudi countries, support Hadi , have official "partnership" with Saudis , and never even slightly criticised Saudi role in Yemen, all that make huge difference between Russia and China in Yemen.

The only difference is Saudi Arabia's shenanigans in Syria.
On the UN issue, Russia as much as China support the UN resolutions regarding Yemen. Off course Russia pisses in Saudi's flakes day & night. But if there wasn't the Syrian deal, the Houthis would be on their own. Get that straight. I like the #FlipFlop armada as much as the next dude but they're "relevant" only in the Syrian context. Otherwise Russia would sell KSA as muc as it can and Houthis as well.

What UN resolutions ? If Russia is officially supporting Hadi puppet after his deposition and Saudi reinstall i'd like to see some proof of that.
We're not talking about Syria here, and not even about Houthis, but about Chinese warm ties with Saudi Arabia resulting specific behaviour of China regarding Yemen.
And I don't really care if you or somebody else is pro or anti Houthi, this is irrelevant considering the main issue.
And your last argument is invalid since we're talking about real situation with existing geopolitical environment in Yemen and not about some hypothetical possibility in the like of "what would Russia do if Saudis were unicorns ?" , but hey they aren't , and this is not some alternative history topic.

As recently as late february 2016

The original Russian "betrayal" to the @KhatSquad dated April 2015.

However as I personally have pointed out, Russia is giving weapons to Houthis. How, in what quantity, in what quality (direct transfers, third party transfers etc) that remains to be seen.
But for the sake of the argument, Russia allowed UNSC Resolution S2216. Read it and see how the fuck Russia isn't "supporting Hadi". The idea is this Russia is not willing to break the UNSC.
Also #FlipFlop doesn't give a f*** Soudi loses enough weapons by the day to arm mini armies.
