Re: Su-35S: News
This plane is definitivelly not Su-57. But SeigSoloyvov could be correct that this is not F-22, but F-35. It looks like it have only one engine, not two like F-22 or Su-57. Maybe RuAF Su-35 intercepted Israeli F-35. After Il-20 shot down, this could be possible.

Between the tail fins there is space only for one engine, exactly as F-35 have.

Re: Su-35S: News
Still one negine is different than two engines and also the main front wings are from F-35, not from F-22, which have cutted wings on the backside. The plane on the picture is most probably Israeli F-35, for which we know, that they fly over Lebanon.

Re: Su-35S: News
I suggest that the F-22/35 or whatever is not a real image, but is just a shopped detail, ie the Ruskies are concealing the actual image details to obscure the capabilities of their IR system. They've made their point (that IR work as advertised) without giving away anything useful to the Clown Empire.

Re: Su-35S: News
I guess it is off topic for this thread, but as it has been mentioned... it is a little ironic that the US is complaining about giving Turkey the F-35s it has paid for because it does not want it operational in airspace where an S-400 system is also operational... yet they sell them to Israel with a Russian S-400 system right next door...
And an S-300V4 system too... not to mention (back on topic) Russian Su-35s...

They even have tracked f-22 since long ago.
They just don't want Turkey to have weapons that could work against them. Everything they sell them (f-16, missiles...) is full of backdoors they could probably shut them down in case of an invasion of Turkey.

If you detect it you can track it. There was incident involving f22 and su35 flying close so they probavly tracked it on their radars to have info on the rangethet can track.

? Are you going by Wiki because that's where they park planes on paper of advice where Isreal says they put something an where they really put it is to totally different matters. They move the F-35's around So that Russia cannot guess where they will be launching from.
Tel Nof is where they store Nuclear warheads.

not true you can detect something for a minute then lose for good, Just because you can detect doesn't mean you can stay locked onto the aircraft.

For ground based radar or long distances. The su-35 were not far from f-22 in those accidents specially when the time when su-25 was involved and had visual contact on f-22.

Re: Su-35S: News
I wonder if RVV-BD will ever see integration with Su-35's. As it would be great added value as export, Western fighter aircraft and systems offerings basically say nothing about countering enemy ISR Assets.

You only need a continuous target track for SARH missiles... when scanning an area you will only get a detection as the radar sweeps past the target... in track while scan mode even if you lose a track you can pick it up again as you scan...
Most ARH missiles just need an interception point to fly to to start scanning for the target itself... it can be launched to a general area and on the way receive updates to the intercept point...
R-37M is intended for use on all 4++ gen Russian fighters and interceptors as well as Stealth fighters of the 5th gen.
