Two US Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II assault warplanes carried out airstrikes on the city of Aleppo on Wednesday, destroying nine facilities, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported. The same day, the Pentagon accused Moscow of bombing two Aleppo hospitals, while there were no Russian flights over the city.

“Yesterday, at 13:55 Moscow time (10:55 GMT), two American A-10 assault aircraft entered Syrian airspace from Turkey, flew right to the city of Aleppo and bombed targets there,” Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said Thursday.

Also on Wednesday, Konashenkov recalled, the Pentagon’s spokesman, Colonel Steven Warren claimed that Russian warplanes allegedly bombed two hospitals in Aleppo.

so far no confirmation, maybe 1st of March if some conditions are met and maybe no such offer @all just typical US blatant lies

The Kremlin has demanded not to speculate on the rumors of ceasefire in Syria
    http://www.interfax.ru/russia/494248

Moscow. 11 February. INTERFAX.RU - IN the Kremlin have noted the fragile nature of the process of the Syrian settlement and emphasize that talking about the consensus between the involved parties is too early.

For this reason, the President's press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has refrained from comments in connection with the reports that Russia has offered to declare a ceasefire in Syria since March 1.

"I would not give any comments because the process is very fragile, it is being approved, we cannot speak about any consensus in the process of Syrian settlement," he said.

On specifying question, whether there corresponds to reality information about the Russian proposal for a ceasefire, Peskov said: "the fact that officially, no plans have not been made public, let's proceed from this. And let us not now any data to speculate".

"You know that Russia has consistently made efforts in the context of the settlement together with other countries that are parties to the settlement process, and while I would not began to run forward", - said the press Secretary of the President.

Previously, the Agency Associated Press with reference to American officials said that Russia allegedly offered to secure a ceasefire between warring factions in Syria since March 1, 2016. It was noted that the US offer to cease fire immediately.

Was looking at the 1st March deadline.

It makes sense from a Debaltsevo POV. Afterall, The Russians told the EU/US about Debal in similar terms. Debal is cauldron. You got a deal if your people surrender. We can stop the beating if you sit to the table and talk. Poro attempted to stall the talks and put his best pokerface. It resulted in catastrophy for about 4 days. Until the Ukrainians got their heads out of their arses. March 1 would result in complete shaping of Aleppo's suburbs. Once that done. The proper siege can begin.

Aleppo is but off, deal with it...you know the rest.

I see 3 potential cauldrons. The first one, let's call it the ISIS-cauldron (on the right), is going to happen no matter what because no one is going to make deals with ISIS. The two other ones: Aleppo-city and Misqan-Ahras cauldrons depend on rebel willingness to commit to a ceasefire (hence the March 1st leak). They are basically telling them "retreat now that you still have a chance".

my guess is since Iraqi govt is not really US friendly and Russia I mean Syria might (with Kurds) block Trusko-Syrian border then Iraqi Kurdistan might be the last hope for US demotalitarian regime &doggies.

Especially that is looks like in south -eastern direction Assad is going to go for Raqqa.

Uncle Sam and his eu butt lickers are calling for ceasefire to begin immediately. Sound familiar? Late summer '14 cauldrons at Russian border, moose tongue salient down to and below Debaltsyevo mid winter '15. Whenever their proxies are getting their asses handed to them it suddenly becomes a humanitarian crisis with hospitals and kindergartens burning and starving innocents. Don't remember them being concerned in the least for the slaughter of our civilians in Donetsk, Gorlovka or Lughansk that is still going on. The bastards.

The SAA is already rolling on Al-Raqqa, hopefully in two months, the fighting in Syria is less and more battle hardened Iraqi militias that are fighting in Syria for the SAA, are sent to Iraq to give the Saudis a welcome that they will never forget.

A research done by a team of rusvsna.ru on refugees

    http://rusvesna.su/recent_opinions/1454887360

According to UNCHR in first 6 months of 2015 there were 4.2 million refugees from Syria in countries like Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon. http://www.unhcr.org/56701b969.html

Syrian refugees started arriving to the EU from 2014, AFTER the UN and US cut funding for the Syrian refugees.

    http://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/u-n-suspends-food-aid-1-7-million-syrian-refugees-n258991

GENEVA — A lack of funds has forced the U.N. World Food Program to stop providing food vouchers for 1.7 million Syrian refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq and Egypt, the agency said on Monday. "Without WFP vouchers, many families will go hungry. For refugees already struggling to survive the harsh winter, the consequences of halting this assistance will be devastating," said WFP, which needs $64 million to support the refugees for the rest of December.

Seven factors behind movement of Syrian refugees to Europe Briefing Notes, 25 September 2015

    1)Loss of hope

    2)High costs of living/Deepening poverty

    3)Limited livelihood opportunities

    4)Aid shortfalls

    5)Hurdles to renew legal residency

    6)Scant education opportunities

Russian air-to-surface military operation in Syria began September 30, 2015 at the request from the Syrian government.

AND the most important: Starting with September 2015 the amount of Syrian refugees in the EU are falling, not rising.

During September, 602 Syrians were newly registered with UNHCR, while 412 individuals closed their cases. 30/09/2015

During October, 547 Syrians were newly registered with UNHCR, while 240 individuals closed their cases. 31/10/2015

During November, 109 Syrians were newly registered with UNHCR, while 23 5individuals closed their cases. 30/11/2015

There are no indication about the new cases opened in December and January  according to UNHCR
