    Hello all.

    I've been lurking here for a while but it is now past time to introduce myself.

    I have long been interested in the Russian military, ever since I saw War & Peace on TV when I was a kid I guess. This interest has been kicked along by various events more recently (08.08.08, Libya, Syria, Ukraine) so this forum has been very habit forming as I have kept up with the news - more accurate here than elsewhere I've found.
