A dream came true today. We are in Moscow for another couple days and today being Sunday we could not work on the tasks we need to address here so we went to a model tank meet. We know all the tankers and are staying with one while here.

Around noon I was standing with my lass as she was photoing beside the tank courses on the member side of the ropes and I heard someone speak English. I turned and this thirtyish man with an attractive lady on his arm was standing their so I asked him if he spoke English and he said yes and volunteered that he is Itailian and works with the Italian Embassy in Moscow. He then asked where I was from about the time my charming bride joined us. I used the Russian pronounciation of the city and he looked a little puzzled so I then told him where the city is and that we understood that his country did not like us. He then stated "But the referendum wasn't...."and that's as far as he got before Ye'lean'chka unloaded on him with both barrels and in perfect English. I had no idea she knew so many Italian slurs and she actually used a not too pretty peice of Italian Mat to him, all in a very steady and calm voice and at the end she told him what he and all his Italian embassy friends do with the reproductive organs of various NATO and DC functionaries whilst the embassy folks are on their knees kneeling to thier masters. The blood was ankle deep and a few of the tankers and standers by were laughing at the discomfited Itailan as he beat a hasty retreat.

All in all a pretty good day. Now, if I can just run in to some OSCE putz soon.......

Three Mi-24P combat helicopters have returned to Ukraine from Liberia due to the reduction of the UN mission, said the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Saturday, reports RIA Novosti.

"In connection with the reduction of the UN mission in Liberia, there has been an optimization of the 56th separate helicopter detachment, which performed a task in the mission in the country. Thus, a special flight of the transport aircraft AN-124 "Ruslan" returned three Mi-24P combat helicopters to Ukraine," stated the message.

According to authorities, after the restoration and preventive works carried out by the specialists in parts of the UAF aviation, all three Mi-24P aircraft will be used for training flights and combat missions in the composition of the Air forces of Ukraine, including, if necessary, in the zone of the military operation in Donbass.

Seems. There are ppl reporting on Twitter that more overhauled older high caliber artillery pieces have been seen towed towards Donbass. Seems they have nearly 100 Pions now...tho i am not sure about ammunition, they will have to start producing it again if they plan on feeding all those bores.

While I understand that an extradition inquiry from Ukraine could be received and granted, what crimes has he committed in Serbia exactly? If I understand this well, the law was recently introduced in Serbian Criminal code? So is he being retroactively pursued? And how can the Serbian Public Prosecution prove he was indeed fighting?

Balkanics not being able to export the know-how...oh how the mighty have fallen. We have two cases in Albania, but both were released (Macedonian 2001 "situation"). Also Kosovo has given 7 months to UCK people for the same issue.

Just finished the update about yesterday fighting. It was one of the worst days in this year. Did something happen or not happen today? The other Spanish guy that is reporting daily says he has been unable to find any news items about today in the usual sites. Calm before the storm? Or just same daily grind and people being too busy fighting to post?

Does anybody have any idea how many Ukrainians disagree with the Kiev government, and what is going on in Ukraine today. Not happy. In Western Ukraine, not the Donbass. ??? especially the finances of everyday people decreasing so much, and the fact that it will probably take 25 years to get back to the economy of 2008. Not to mention all of the draconian stupid laws...

I suspect more than a few...altho I get the feeling it isn't healthy to disagree openly nor about everything.
