The Syrian opposition forces totally collapsed and surrended in the area of Beit Jinn, next to the Golan. Syria advances in the borders of the occupied Golan.

The map coloring game continues. While there are not reports of fights, the map colorers continue to put ISIS controlling territory to the west of the Euphrates and in Iraq, to cover the SDF advancing not.

Big news...apparently the green buses will be heading for Idlib again. Also strange that Israel didn't intervene in this area

    Did not?

The alone thing that they did not is to put their own troops.

He's dead, it's the possible second pilot there not sure of.
No ones sure if it was a missile, but if so, then Su-25s, Ka-52s and/or Mi-28s should be shipped in for the Syrians.

In that link it states a Strela manpad and shows video footage although who knows if footage is trust worthy. Also states the following

"However, this turned out not to be the case as within hours Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham released footage of its fighters using a Strela shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missile to knock-out the Syrian warplane.

The Syrian pilot in the aircraft reportedly survived the crash only to have his throat slit and then be shot twice in the head by the jihadists who captured him."

And yesterday on Al masdar showed footage of dead pilot. And was their a second pilot? If so I am sure either side would have him now. Likely perished in the crash???

US lets militants train, mount attacks from its Syrian bases – chief of Russian General Staff

The US is hosting training camps for militant groups in Syria, including former ISIS fighters who fled from Raqqa, said the head of Russia’s General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, citing data obtained by aerial surveillance.

The US forces have effectively turned their military base near the town of al-Tanf in southeastern Syria into a terrorists’ training camp, Gerasimov said in an interview to Russia’s Komsomolskaya Pravda daily on Wednesday.

“According to satellite and other surveillance data, terrorist squads are stationed there. They are effectively training there,” Gerasimov said, when asked about what’s going on at the base.

The general also said the US has been using a refugee camp in northeast Syria, outside the town of Al-Shaddadah in Al-Hasakah province, as a training camp for the remnants of the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) terrorist group, including those evacuated from Raqqa, and other militants.

“This is essentially ISIS,” Gerasimov said. “They change their colors, take different names – the 'New Syrian Army' and others. They are tasked with destabilizing the situation.”

Some 400 militants left Al-Shaddadah for Al-Tanf, launching an offensive on the Syrian forces from the eastern bank of Euphrates, after the main ISIS forces were routed there, Gerasimov said.

The Al-Tanf base is located within the 55km “de-confliction” buffer zone.

At the moment, there are about 750 militants in Al-Shaddadah and 350 in Al-Tanf on the Syrian-Jordanian border, according to Gerasimov, who said the Russian military has been watching the training at the Al-Tanf base for some time.

“The most important is that we have been seeing the militants advancing from there for several months. When the control [of the Syrian forces] loosened, as many as 350 militants left the area,” Gerasimov said, noting that the nearby town of Al-Qaryatayn was under threat of being captured by the militants had the Russian forces not repelled the offensive.

“We took timely measures…they have suffered a defeat, these forces were destroyed. There were captives from these camps. It is clear that training is underway at those camps,” he added.

Turkey is one of the guarantors of the Syrian ceasefire, brokered also by Russia and Iran.

"Assad is definitely a terrorist who has carried out state terrorism," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a televised news conference with his Tunisian counterpart Beji Caid Essebsi in Tunis.

"It is impossible to continue with Assad. How can we embrace the future with a Syrian president who has killed close to a million of his citizens?" he said.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry has responded to the accusations by saying that Erdogan is misleading the public opinion in Turkey by claiming that Assad should not remain in power, adding that Ankara's policy "causes catastrophic consequences" for both countries.

"Once again, Turkish President Erdogan continues to mislead the public opinion in Turkey. With his useless soap bubbles, he tries in vain to justify the crimes he has committed against the Syrian people by infinitely and comprehensively helping the terrorist groups in Syria," the ministry's statement read, as quoted by the SANA news agency.

Assad himself has repeatedly denied allegations of targeting civilians.

Despite Turkey being a mediator in the Syrian peace talks, which are also brokered by Russia and Iran, Assad has previously refused to consider Ankara as its partner or a guarantor state, accusing the country of supporting terrorism.

For its part, Ankara has been sending mixed signals concerning its view of Syria's political future. In November, Erdogan stated that Turkey was not ruling out future contacts with Assad, with the statement following the announcement that Ankara no longer considers Damascus a threat. However, since the civil war’s beginning in Syria in 2011, Turkey, along with many regional states, as well as the US, has been calling on Assad to step down.

This summer, Turkey set up observation points in Syria's Afrin and deployed troops there in order to support the anti-terrorist operation conducted by the Free Syrian Army, which has been the second joint campaign on the ground by the forces in the course of a year. While Ankara said that the operation was agreed at the Astana talks, Damascus accused Turkey of "aggressive actions" that violate the international law.

The new accusations add to the string of charges of alleged US-led coalition cooperation with Daesh (ISIS), contrary to its proclained goal of fighting terrorism in Syria.

US helicopters have evacuated Daesh leaders from several areas across the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor to the country's northeast, Syria's SANA news agency has reported, citing eyewitnesses.

SANA reported that according to residents, the jihadists were evacuated Wednesday and flown to safety in al-Hasakah province, much of which is presently under the control of Kurdish and US forces.

Sources said that several US helicopters had conducted low-altitude flights into the al-Saad camp for temporarily displaced persons, landing near the al-Hasakah Dam in southern al-Hasakah province, bringing in terrorist leaders reported to have joined a new group of militants supported and organized by the US.

    ©️ SPUTNIK/
    Duplicitous Agenda
Previously, SANA said, US helicopters had evacuated 47 terrorist leaders to al-Hasakah, with injured militants reportedly sent to receive medical assistance from Medecins Sans Frontieres doctors.
In recent months, the Syrian government has repeatedly accused Washington of providing various forms of support for Daesh and other terrorist groups operating in Syria, including intelligence which allowed militants to attack Syrian army positions. According to Damascus, US air power has been used on numerous occasions to rescue terrorist leaders from their imminent destruction at the hands of the Syrian army, and even to stage 'accidental' attacks on Syrian forces as they advanced against the militants.

Earlier this week, the Syrian government charged the US-led coalition at the UN with making deals with the remnants of Daesh and coordinating its actions.

In mid-December, the Russian Ministry of Defense accused the US-led coalition of using the al-Hasakah-based camp to train jihadist militants who had been reorganized into the so-called "New Syrian Army." According to Russian intelligence, based on refugee testimony, most of the estimated 750 militants at the camp are affiliated with Daesh and Nusra Front. The core of the group consists of 400 Daesh militants who escaped Raqqa in October 2017 with help from the US military. A spokesperson for the US-led coalition rejected the Russian military's accusations, telling Sputnik that their allegations were "absurd."
