Jackson Hinkle from The Dive is in Russia right now.
He shared some thoughts concerning the development level of Moscow if compared to the US cities.

since Tuva is mentioned, is there any update about the Kuragino–Kyzyl railway line project? construction is supposed to commence some time in 2020, but I couldn't find any info about the progress of the construction or if its put on hold.

Until now, there has never been a railroad in Tuva, a Siberian republic which borders Mongolia in the south and is separated from the rest of Russia by high mountains. The construction of the Elegest-Kyzyl-Kuragino railway line is about to change this. This groundbreaking construction project should turn Tuva into an economic hub. After years of discussion, the project is now in its active phase.

I like the three giant flags: Russian imperial, Soviet and the current Russian flag. Russia does not need to feel any shame for its history.
Certain self-anointed masters of the universe to the west have literally killed hundreds of millions of people to realize their colonial ambitions.
Russian victims during the 1920s and 1930s are not the collective guilt of Russians.

Not sure of it's present status but it was started and a battalion of Railway Troops were stationed in Kyzyl to build it. Read this week where they dedicated a memorial for 9 members KIA while working in the SVO.

The narrator spends too much time harping about low incomes and declining population "indicating something ain't right". Well, the lack of 2.3 children
per female easily accounts for all the ~1% declines and economic stress is not demonstrated as a causal factor. Only migration can account for growth
in countries with low TFR. The capital of Daghestan population growth reflects the high TFR. Mahachkala undermines the narrator's narrative
since it is more economically distressed (for assorted reasons) than most of the declining population Russian cities.

Every city on the planet has an income variance. Instead of fixating on some workers making lower incomes than the average, the median income should
be cited for every city on the list. If it is much lower than the average, then there is something to complain about.

Anyway, the aerial video shows a rather nice face to all of these cities.

That video blogger is a Russian liberal from Yekaterinburg. He is anti-Putin and anti-SMO.

I used to watch his YouTube channel before the SMO, and I had no clue that he was a liberal. But, when the SMO began, his true colour was revealed, and as a result, he lost a significant number of Pro-Russian subscribers, including myself.

It is a bit ironic that he had pro Russian followers... his videos sound essentially like they were promoting Russia, so for him to be anti Putin and anti SMO... and therefore pro EU and pro HATO and pro US he is essentially alienating his fan base.

You often only see true colours when times get tough.

The NATzO west propaganda about "drab Soviet facades" was always pure cringe. The quality of life in those commie blocks was
not worse than in western Europe. And the whole "drab" aspect could be countered by endless examples from the west. After
all the propaganda was just cherry picked photos and lies.

Russia did not have vast tracts of private housing just like the rest of Europe. But I have seen lack of such development used
as "proof" of western superiority. Who needs intellectual consistency when the motivation is hate.

Like all those western "documentaries" showing a cold and snowy Russia.
Maybe western "reporters" should travel to Russia during summer. lol1

They are actually refurbishing the many historical fortresses in the Gulf of Finland now, in and around Kronstadt. So cool.

The sooner we can get on better together... your countries tried to crush Russia and destroy its economy and make them poor... you wanted to turn modern Russia into the Russia or the 1990s or 1890s... why would they want better relations with us?

Nice feature, but not really a bus. Just a nice passenger ferry. To make it more bus-like, the docking and departure needs to be faster. So some
sort of specialized equipment for rapid docking is necessary. You see nothing new here in this regard.

Anyway, good to see infrastructure renewal and growth.
