The highly anticipated Russian lunar station, "Luna-25," is scheduled to touch down on Earth's natural satellite on 11 August in the early morning, with a backup time of 2.35 Moscow time on 12 August, according to available information from RIA Novosti.
Unlike its predecessor, "Luna-24," which was launched in 1976 and brought back lunar soil samples weighing approximately 170 g, "Luna-25" will not have a return vehicle. Instead, it seeks to make history by becoming the first station to land at the South Pole of the Moon. The ambitious mission aims to test soft landing technologies, delve into the Moon's internal structure, and explore its valuable resources, including water.
Looking ahead, future missions are already planned, with the Luna-26 orbiter scheduled for 2027 and the Luna-27 landing station, equipped with a lunar soil drilling installation, set for 2028.

The space head unit consisting of the Frigate upper stage and the Luna-25 automatic interplanetary station has been successfully launched into a reference orbit!

Re: Roscosmos Planetary Exploration Missions
Russia's deep space/interplanetary program has been cursed since the mid-80's (the Vega probes were successful and indeed very impressive missions, and built upon the equally impressive Venera program, but those were the last ones IIRC)...
Mars-96 failed, Luna-Glob/Luna 25 has been plagued with constant delays and changes in mission parameters and design since 1997 or so, Phobos-Grunt failed and the ExoMars lander (Schiaparelli, joint ESA/Roscosmos vehicle) failed.
If they can break the curse with this loooooooong-awaited launch, that's a bigger milestone than people realize I think.
I should mention that interplanetary spaceflight has always been hard, and other space agencies have racked up failures over the past decades as well. So it's a freaking nervous wait from take-off to arrival... Which in this case will be a week from now.

Technically Russian half of ExoMars program worked fine (launch and travel to Mars) it was Euros who shit the bed on their end
As for all the others yeah, Ruskies shit those particular beds start to finish and it was not pretty

Shutup everyone and stop jinxing it
Let's wait with crossed fingers for the mission to get to the Moon and deploy and then you can talk all the crap you want about whatever.

"Luna-25" corrected the trajectory of the flight to the natural satellite of the Earth.
Today, the automatic station carried out the first correction of the trajectory of the flight to the Moon.
The propulsion system of Luna-25 turned on at 16:00 Moscow time and worked for 46 seconds.

Re: Roscosmos Planetary Exploration Missions
Maybe we will get real video of humans on the Moon this time around. Whether they were or weren't there in the previous round, the
videos were all studio fakes.
The security for any such mission would have to be insane. The precious USA and its pals would never want Russia or anyone else to
have an easy time of getting there and doing a better job.

why USSR didnt make similar video fakes to claim the first place of humans on the Moon?

On the Russian automatic station flying to the Moon, the first switching on of scientific instruments was carried out
Luna-25 continues its flight to the natural satellite of the Earth - all systems of the automatic station are working normally, communication with it is stable, and the energy balance is positive.
Today, the first switching on of the complex of scientific equipment developed by IKI RAS (https://t.me/mediaiki) was carried out in space flight conditions. Service telemetric information from all devices showed their regular functioning. The first measurement data on the flight to the Moon have been received, and the project's scientific team has begun processing them.

Because it was not as degenerate as the exceptionalist chauvinists in the USA.
You are engaged in handwaving side-stepping of the demonstrable fakery of the claimed video from the Moon. This includes the absurd moon dust
trajectories from the moon buggy. That moon dust must be composed of lead granules and there must be air on the Moon for your faith in these
videos to have merit. In reality, the moon dust is extremely fine powder and would be launched six times higher from the surface on parabolic
trajectories in contrast to the Earth. In the claimed moon video you see non-parabolic trajectories consistent with air resistance. It's obvious
Earth staging with video speed manipulation.
Physics is not optional. But that is something faith based thinkers have hard time understanding.

So why didn't Soviets say anything if it was so easy to disprove?
They were commies and sworn enemies of democracy, wasn't it their sacred duty to expose this "hoax"?

Yes, but monochrome brings out out more small-scale details. That said, I agree this is most likely not an image from Luna 25.
