It is a civilian project so i put it here.

Russia and China sign a contract to build a joint heavy helicopter

According to head of the Russian Helicopters holding Andrey Boginsky, the Russian side will develop some elements, including the transmission, tail rotor and anti-icing systems

MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Russia and China have signed a contract stipulating the joint development of a heavy helicopter, Andrey Boginsky, head of the Russian Helicopters holding, said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"In 2016, during your visit to Beijing, an intergovernmental agreement was signed. Since 2008, intensive negotiations have been going on, and this year, on June 25, we signed a contract," he said.

According to Boginsky, the Russian side will develop some elements, including the transmission, tail rotor and anti-icing systems. The helicopter will take about 13 years to build, he added.
    About the project

Under the 2016 intergovernmental agreement, the Russian Helicopters holding and the Chinese company Avicopter will jointly develop the advanced heavy helicopter AC332 AHL and launch its serial production in China to meet demand in the Chinese market.

Earlier, it was reported that China’s Avicopter will be the lead developer, while Russian Helicopters will design a number of key parts of the future helicopter.

The Chinese side will carry out the organization of the heavy helicopter program as a whole, including design, construction of prototypes, testing, certification, preparation and serial production, as well as the promotion of the helicopter to the market and overall coordination of work. The Russian holding, in turn, will provide technologies, as well as develop an engineering proposal and individual machine systems on a contract basis.

The maximum take-off weight of the helicopter will be 38.2 tonnes, the service ceiling will be 5,700 meters. The flight range will reach 630 km, the maximum speed - 300 km/h. The carrying capacity of the AHL when the cargo is located inside the fuselage will be 10 tonnes, and up to 15 tonnes when the cargo is placed as an external load.

Putin praises significant development of energy cooperation between Russia and China

According to the Russian leader, the relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China are at an unprecedented high level

MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to the participants, organizers and guests of the 3rd Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum, noting the unprecedented high level of strategic interaction between the two states. The text of the statement was published on the Kremlin’s website on Monday.

"The relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China are at an unprecedented high level. An important component of these relations is energy cooperation, which has developed quite significantly in recent years," according to the statement.

"[The two states have] ensured stable operation of cross-border oil and gas pipelines, supplies of coal and electricity from Russia to China are steadily growing, large-scale joint projects in the gas chemical industry, as well as the production of liquefied natural gas in the Arctic are being successfully implemented. The construction of new units of Russian design has begun at two Chinese nuclear power plants," the head of state said.

According to Putin, the Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum is an effective mechanism for direct dialogue between companies of the two countries operating in various sectors of the fuel and energy sector.

"This year, the agenda of the forum, as usual, is very broad. It is important that it includes such topical topics as the development and implementation of energy efficient technologies and the development of green energy," the Russian President said in his address. One of the popular areas of cooperation is creation of information and analytical platforms, primarily the so-called Atlas of Investments in Russian-Chinese Energy Cooperation, the President added.

The Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum was established in July 2018 by the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. The event annually gathers representatives of the largest companies in the energy, financial and IT sectors, political and public figures, diplomats and experts from the two countries.

Putin, Xi assess negatively creation of new alliances in Asia-Pacific — Kremlin aide

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping have discussed in detail the United States’ activity in the Asia-Pacific Region and made a negative assessment of the creation AUKUS and QUAD alliances there, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said after the two leaders’ talks on a video call on Wednesday.

Putin, Xi Jinping discuss Power of Siberia 2 project, says Kremlin aide

Putin tasked Gazprom with shifting to the initial stage of the implementation of the Power of Siberia 2 project last spring. The pipeline will allow uniting gas transport systems of Russia’s east and west. Moreover, the company will be able to deliver up to 50 bln cubic meters of gas via Mongolia to China through the pipeline, and provide gas to a number of Russian regions.

Chief Executive Officer of the gas holding Alexei Miller said in January 2021 that Gazprom had started the design and survey works. In September he said that the development of the Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline project allowed exporting gas from Western Siberia both to the west and to the east.

Russia-China relations are sample of interstate cooperation in 21st century — Putin

As he began the meeting, Putin waved his hand in welcome and called Xi Jinping his "dear friend"

NOVO-OGARYOVO, December 15. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has described Russia-China relations as a sample of genuine interstate cooperation in the 21st century.

"I am glad to have a direct video link with you. It enables us to have a fundamental discussion of Russian-Chinese relations, comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction. I regard these relations as a sample of genuine interstate cooperation in the 21st century," Putin said in his opening remarks at negotiations by video link with China’s President Xi Jinping on Wednesday.

As he began the meeting, Putin waved his hand in welcome and called Xi Jinping his "dear friend." The Chinese leader responded with the same gesture and a broad smile.

"Despite the continuing sanitary and epidemic restrictions we maintain permanent contact," Putin said. He recalled that in May there was a video link on the occasion of a special ceremony marking the launch of a project for building four nuclear power reactors. A video conference in June was devoted to the 20th anniversary of the Russia-China friendship treaty. The Russian leader added that he had held discussions with his Chinese counterpart by telephone on "some acute international affairs, including the Afghan problem."

"This year saw the 20th anniversary of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation. The treaty has been prolonged by five years," Putin said, adding that the systematic implementation of that fundamental agreement, which fully reflected the profound historical traditions of friendship and understanding between the Russian and Chinese peoples had made it possible to raise relations to an unprecedentedly high level.

While Putin and Xi are alive and in power, the two will have good relations. Chinas next leader will probably follow the same path, russias on other hand we do not know. But probably much the same.

Strategic relations of Russia, China stabilize international affairs — Putin

China is an undoubted leader of the global and Asian economy, the Russian President also pointed out

MOSCOW, December 23. /TASS/. Russia and China stabilize global affairs by maintaining strategic bilateral relations, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.

"It’s an absolutely comprehensive partnership of strategic nature that hasn’t had precedents in history, at least between Russia and China," he said during his annual news conference. "This hard day-to-day work benefits both Chinese and Russian people and is a serious stabilizing factor on the international stage."

Putin said he’s on good terms with the Chinese leader.

"The President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and I call each other ‘friend,’" Putin said. "We have personal relations of trust and they help to build relations in work."

Putin made the comments after he proposed to take a question from Chinese media. The Kremlin spokesman chose Xinhua even as the president pointed at a reporter from China Global Television Network.

    Areas of cooperation

Trade between the two countries surpassed the pre-pandemic level to top $100 billion, Putin said. The countries also work together in nuclear energy, high-tech, space, culture and humanitarian area, he said.

"Asia is developing at a fast, efficient pace," the president said. "China is an undoubted leader of the global and Asian economy. Naturally, we are developing ties with China in this area."

China is Russia’s biggest trading partner, Putin said.

Russia and China engage with each other in reaching carbon neutrality by 2060.

"That’s the time until which we’ll supply all types of energy resources to China," Putin said. "We are ready to continue afterward because our life and our country don’t end in 2060."

That shouldn’t hurt carbon neutrality plans because it stipulates for the use of fossil fuels if emissions are properly absorbed, he said.

    He has a wonderful voice.

Some of his songs are pop rubbish, but many were just too popular and like most good pop songs simply got played and played until you learned to hate them... which is hardly his fault.

    Made me think of this...

Two large countries working together so they don't have to have relations with the dysfunctional and destructive west...

A positive result that hopefully the rest of the world can benefit from to help them drag themselves up too without the weight of the west holding them down.

Only 10 billion cm of natural gas? Over what time period? It is obviously a hell of a lot but I was expecting bigger deals. I still dont trust the Chinese. Many Chinese msm outlets are supporting far left movements here in America and frankly the Chinese seem to want to align more with neocons and neolibs rather than russia sometimes. For example I think China likes CAATSA and hope the west will sink the Russian MIC so they can swoop in and pick up the pieces.

Am I wrong? Please tell me if so. I'm probably missing something. It is hard for me to sympathize with a nation even pretending to play at Marxism. Thry also seem to be apt to the same kind of underhanded games as our oligarchs in the west.

Yes, your wrong and it's bordering hysteria and hyperbole. The West has been beating a dead horse claiming China is going to invade and take over Siberia (and the entirety of Russia eventually) for the past 30 years and it still hasn't happened has it?

For example I think China likes CAATSA and hope the west will sink the Russian MIC so they can swoop in and pick up the pieces.

So why didn't that happen back in the 90's then? Instead China was making crucial orders and weapon deals that helped Russian MIC keep afloat, no thanks to Gordochev and Yelpsin. CAATSA can't hold a candle to what those clowns did! clown clown  Thanks to Gordochev and Yelpsin, they let their nation be asset stripped, and left to severe neglect, because they were too busy spreading their ass-cheeks for Western Monetarist rape!

Should be 10 bcm per year. This deal should cover new gas exploration in Sakhalin and a pipeline from Sakhalin into China which will likely connect into Power of Siberia.

It is too early for a deal on Power of Siberia 2 to be signed since only recently did Gazprom finish the surveying of the route via Mongolia.

I think a lot of people also underestimate the massive effort it is taking for China to convert from coal into natural gas. Just think of all the infrastructure that needs to be changed in people's homes to convert to natural gas heating and cooking. Then you have the gas pipelines in China proper, power plants, and the like.

I think this is good, it drives a wedge between the US and Europe.

The big thing is, that it is not in US Dollars.

The three most powerful European countries(Germany, France and Italy) want to have stable relations with Russia and also China is negotiating a free trade deal with the EU and this helps.

Slowly it will be in Rubles and RMB but for now it will be in Euros, British Pounds and even if needed Swiss Franc.
