He said that just realized being the longest ruling head of a region in Russian Federation.
So maybe he should reconsider that fact, as he is getting older and older, and some things should be made by the younger ones.
For me, it was some kind of reflection more than a political declaration.

It did appear to me that between all his video blogging, state duties in Chechnya and participation in the military operation that he was being swarmed with work. At least, he frequently seemed tired (albeit not always) on some of his vids.

At first glance it might seem strange why he might want to leave his post as head of Chechnya at the height of his popularity and prominence, but it makes sense to do so and be remembered fondly, while also being able to cut-down on workload.
Or it could just be a long break and he'll be back later.

Maybe it is a kind of securing the space for federal presidential elections.

I am in some russian TG groups and there we could observe people who joined channels to cause panic and of course a lot of young folks and many women just naively believe everything. Calming them down is also almost impossible. It works for some, but there is always some part that are headless chickens and try to spread panic like wild fire.

Same here in America. How can one talk about patriotism to a nation when the very concept of nation states is dissolving as we speak.
